Wired bra dilema

Hi there

I've just turned 18 and I am going to university this year

Up till now I have been told to wear (mostly-hideous) non-wired bras due to my breast structure. My mother had the same thing though hers due to a prominant rib cage, which i don't think I have.

Today I had a fitting and the woman told me I could start to wear wired bras which I was really happy about as I have always wanted colourful pretty bras which don't exist in the non-wired section.

So I bought two pairs (one the woman fit me with) and I wore for the majority of the day the one the woman fit me for. I found it really uncomfy having the wires. The bra rubbed and where the wire were it left large red marks which now i'm not wearing it have gone but were sort of sore at the time. When i wasnt moving I felt fine but when I moved it irritated me which made me feel restrcted.

This is the bra I bought:

Did I maybe jump into the deep end with this one - should I have gone for something more simple as my first wire one to get me used to it?

When you first started wearing wires did it take you a while to get used to it?

I could really use some help as I want to wear some nice bras to Uni but maybe I'm like my mother and I can't wear wires ever?

Non wired vs wired bras

I have been working as a bra fitter for 2 years now, and some people just can not wear wired bras purely because of a comfort, if you really want wired bras, go to an independent lingerie boutique, like Pudding in Reading as they have so many different brands including italian styles where the wires are softer, plus they know more about what they selling and talking about. There are loads of boutiques around the country, if you let me know what region you live in I will let you know the closest to you.

But there are also loads of lovely soft non-wired bras out there too, for example Ayten Gassons, all her products are made from silk and original vintage nottingham lace, they are all made in the uk and are vintage inspired, and they have matching knickers too, they are sexy and colourful.

Here is the link, www.aytengasson.com,

let me know what you think of Aytens brand, i think its stunning!!! xxx
