Hi am new to the chat room. Am currently trying for a baby, was told i needed chlomid to get me ovulating, my recent blood test has shown that i am ovulating now. I am usually on a 22 day cycle, but after taking chlomid for the first time last month my cycle has extended in fact today is the 29th day and i still hav'nt started my period. I have done 2 pregnancy tests, the first i did on the 23rd day, second one i did yesterday and both were negative but still i hav'nt started. My nurse said to do a third pregnancy on tues next week if I still ha'vnt started by then. I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this, or if anyone else has taken chlomid and what the outcome was. I am a bit confused by it all, any information would be a big help!

Thanks karen x

ive taken 2nd course of 50mg. i ov after 1st course so havnt ad dosage increased. my cycles used to be anything between 18-24 days but never longer. but after 1st month of clomid i went 28. wasnt expecting this so did about 100 tests from day 24 all neg, then after doing last test period turned up just after neg showed, the bi*ch. on day 24 today and still no period so gunna wait n c wot happens on monday day 28. i have read that clomid is more successful after 3rd month. think its cos its ad chance to get into your system. really hope it works for you

Thanks for your reply, hope all goes well for you, i'm on day 30 and still not on, tempted to do another preg test but was told by my nurse to leave it until next week tuesday. I've done 2 tests my last one I did 3 days ago, so I think I will wait and see, it just feels so dissapointing when it is neg, i'm sure you feel the same. I try to build myself up to believing its going to be neg, so I don't feel so let down when it is!

Thanks again for your reply and look forward to hearing from you again soon
