hey i have not been on here for a while and hope everyone is doing well.
i have been so busy setting up my business and kinda forgot about ttc. We had an appointment the other day at fertility clinis for first time and the did and internal scan and when having a look about the nurses mentioned PCOS and i thought oh no thats polycystic ovary syndrome (exuse spelling). i said this to them and they were surprised i knew what it stood for lol. i said "do i have it?". thaey said i was showing some signs of it but want to do blood tests. can anyone tell me what treatment they have had with this? how long it took yous to concieve with this and any ffurther advise to stop me worrying? i have been trying since june 07 and getting scared i may not be able to have a baby! xxx

I was diagnosed with pcos in February - although I do not have any cysts on my ovaries but because I have irregular periods and am overweight, they put it down to that. They won't give me any treatment until I have got my bmi down to 30, which is a long way to go for me so I have started a diet and have lost 16lbs in 5 weeks.
I know that people have been prescribed metaformin or chlomid to help with pcos.
Do you have regular cycles and are you ovulating?
I have not had regular cycles and have not been ovulating but they still won't do anything for me yet!!! I have started to take a herbal tablet called Agnus Castus as that is meant to help regulate cycles, this is my first month of taking it, so will see how I get on.
I know a lot of people that have conceived with pcos so don't panic and don't worry - there are things that can be done.
Hope this helps a bit

they are becoming regular 31 days apart. they only last half a day if that long tho! My bmi is 25 but dont know how that is in comparrison for what they looking for!
im trying not to worry, its nice to hear there is somethig that is kinda delaying the bfp and that something can be done rather than not knowing at all i suppose.
