me and my boyfriend are really keen to start a family. i was off the pill for 6 months and nothing happened and got a bit worried to be honest but am only young so havent done anything about it. i then went back on the pill for a few months due to me losing my job and didnt want to bring a baby into a moneyless family. i am now back off the pill and really dont know where to start. is it harder as ive been on the pill? will it take us longer? dont know what to look out for, whens the best time for trying anything like that.so if someone could shed some light then it would be very appreciated

I'd say from all the stories and info I've heard or read, that getting pg is completely random and down to fate or something.
Some people get pg straight after coming off pill, some not for years. Some people say as soon as you stop the pill you go back to normal and others say it takes a year for your body to be normal again after the pill.
So I've decided its random.... or good luck. Basically if you happen to have sex at the right time when the egg and the little men meet up and decide to get together, then thats your time. Who knows when that will be??? Noone!!

So have lots of sex, especially around the middle of your cycle and it'll happen when it happens!!

when i was ttc with my first son, i had been on the pill and it took me about 8 months to get pregnant. sometimes it takes a while for the hormones to get out of the body and for your cycles to become regular. another friend of mine got pg in the first month of coming off the pill so it's pretty random. when you know how long you're cycles are count 14 days back and that's when you probably ovulate e.g. i normally have a 39 day cycle and i ovulate on cycle day 25. there are other signs too but what i would suggest is that as you say you are young not to get too stressed out about it and just make sure you and your other half regularly bd and you'll be pg in no time!!
