at the mo, so I may as well join in....However, I will say, I have my health & I am grateful for that.

DP was offered a job & accepted it at the end of last month....the company have now retracted the offer as he has a DR10 on his licence (a drink driving ban. It is more than 10 years old & they are NOT within their rights to do that!!!! DP was straight with them from the get go & they saw the DR10 on his license & even in the job advert it said 5 points & DR10 more older than 10 years is acceptable.

After accepting the job offer & buying the safety cothes ready for work on the 14th July, DP closed down his business & is no longer self employed.

So not only can we not afford a child, we can't afford to live. Not that we want DP on benefits but fat lot of use they are anyway - not entitled to it!!! He can claim for contributery (cant spell) claim - meaning taking money from his state pension thing!

We work hard & for what, a kick in the nuts!! We have business debts up to our eyes & will not meet the payments this month. I think it's clear to say we are in deep doodoo!

Anyhoo rant over

hope all you ladies are well

Hunny i DR10 can only be on your DL for 10yrs after that you can send your DP's lincence back and get it removed. Like any points they have a number of years that they stay on for after that they are not alound to count them.....

If they are then you must have some sort of rights to take action on this matter as you are being treated wrongly for sure babes

I really hope that you get this sorted out between us we have had a great year.....not

is there any way you can do something about the unfairness or does it depend on contracts being signed.

My optimistic side would be to say that that job wasn't meant for him and that there'll be something far better just around the corner.

Really hope something turns up for you, you certainly don't deserve this x

Hi Caz,

That sounds a load of pants! i thought the DVLA (useless sods that they are) removed points after a certain amount of time? If the offer was retracted for a viable reason then i don't think there is anything you can do, if it was because of the points, i agree with the other lady, go to CAB and see what you can do.

Take care hun and hope things go in the right direction for you!

Love Karen&Emily (15weeks and 2 days old!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!)he hehe

Hi Cleollie...thats a bummer the way your DHs new employer is behaving! Fingers crossed he will get some work soon! The credit crunch seems to be hitting us all...the work is drying up over here big time. My DH is in construction. The bills are coming in thick and fast, we are robbing Peter to pay Paul that kind of thing, there just isnt enough to go round and we are trying to get organised for littlin coming along. STRESS At least you can have a wee drink at the end of the day to calm you down!lol I put stress down as a big contributing factor the time we were ttc that we didnt conceive, but what can you do!
Hang in there...fingers crossed both our situations improve soon! Hugs....Sharon 31+4wk pink bump xxx

I'm new to the site, but your situation sounds rotten, it doesnt sound right what your dp's future employers have done, has anything been agreed in writing, try contacting the CAB, they are usually pretty helpful. I know how you feel with debts etc, we are only just getting out of a huge mess, but keep your chin up, it does get better. I'm sure your dp will get another job quickly, then you can move on to celebrating your bfp which will just be round the corner.
Take care Sharon xxxx

Can't write too much about it but have been in touch with legal aid & the solicitors at the FSB, fingers crossed we will get justice.

We're lucky that we've still got my income & I told my boss he can't sack me 'cos I'll cry & it'll tip me over the edge LOL, so he let me go home for the day, bless him.

Hope you're all well

I know you are having a rough at this mo., but I hope that this bad luck will pass soon.
