Keeping mind of ttc

Not sure if you're at your wits end yet but I found I became obsessed with TTC and to stop it I had to start a hobby. I took up photography (although am yet to start a course!) and the camera was expensive at £500 but it's something I like and keeps me entertained without thinking about TTC too much. However, the thing that really stopped me obsessing was Ancestry.co.uk and tracing my family tree. You honestly become obsessed with it and it's soooo interesting seeing where they lived and what they did for a job etc etc. The first mth is free and then it's about £80 for the year but it has worked wonders for me so thought I'd share my tip. Any free time is spent doing that rather than googling or fretting about why it hasn't happened yet.

I know exactly what you mean I've been ttc for a year now and it feels like a lifetime in some ways but a flash/blur in another if you get what I mean?

A couple of months ago we set the date for our wedding and that has helped take my mind off things along with the school holidays and entertaining a 4 year old lol

I don't really have any hobbies although I have a slight confession I got addicted to the wii last week and played it nearly every night lol apart from that I have caught up with old friends many of whom are now either pg or have kids which doesn't exactly take my mind off it but fun none the less.

Hope this relaxed(ish) approach helps us all

just from reading your message you have given me the idea of getting into photography again i did it when i was at college many years ago !! ive just brough a new camera aswell as mine wouldnt give a good picture anymore (it doesnt come till friday though)..do go and do a proper coarse its well worth it really enjoyable...i dont think some people realise just how obsessed you do get with ttc it can be abit of a killjoy sometimes too...

i know wot u mean i think about ttc so much i keep falling ill! all sorts of things keep hapennin water infections rashes up me arms spots on me face and conjunctivitis. need to take a leaf out of ur book and keep me mind off it all. then maybe somethin mite hapen!(fingers crossed) and i did ancestry late last year. its flippin brilliant once u get started iwas tellin me nan things she didnt know. great stuff. gd luk neway n hope ur photography goes well. take care jenxxxx

im a past ttc from hear and just wanted to say i no how damn hard ttc is an how it takes over your life an its all you can think about and it wasnt until i stopped obsessing about it every month and started to make love again and not making a baby if u no what i mean the following month i caught to our shock so i agree defo take up something else for a while and give your body something else to think about for a while it works!
