New to this but ttc since june 07

hi everyone,

I'm new but have read a lot of the advice given and generally how people arefeeling.

we've been ttc since june 07 - I have PCOS and one blocked tube. Currently waiting for the fertilty route with a consultant but have to lose more weight before they consider me. I have had a positive ov test every month since march.

So far this month I haven't ovulated from what I can tell. I feel different though an I'm wondering this...

no positive opk from day 16 up to now which is day 26.......... negative pregnancy test as expected! I just wonder if a lack of positive ovulation test could mean that I may already be pregnant?

Sorry if this is a silly question.

Susie

Hello susie welcome

I'm on the expecting forum but i always pop on here now and again.

No it isn't a silly question at all.

Now I'm not sure about your question as when i was doing opks in aug i never got a positive until quite late but i got it for a few days running reason being that i was already pg and it was my first time using opks as well.

wot is your normal cycle, when are you meant to come on your period and how long does your period lasts for? sorry for all the questions it justs gives a more clearer picture of how we can help you.

Also most of us on here are advised not to take a hpt until we are actually overdue for our period as it will give a more accurate reading of hcg levels to be picked up the longer you leave off testing.

Hi Nikki,

thanks for yout reply and congrats.

My cycle is between 32-34 normally 34 days. I get a positive line on the ovulation sticks between days 17-20 normally and I always get my period 14days later.... so I always know when I gonna come on.

Last month i had my period as normal i think ...possibly slightly lighter, but then i wonder if thats my imagination....i had ovulated 14 days prior to day one. I'm now on day 28 and no positive ovulation. I had kind of figured that I would get my period within the next week (i go on holiday tomorrow so was a bit miffed!!) if i went by my 'normal' cycle.

Now i'm wondering if I have 'missed' my ovulation, if i'm not ovulating thismonth (in which case will i still gt a period), or am I pregnant?? Obviously I want to be pregnant so am imagining all these different symptoms!!

I have a feeling in my tummy.... or is that imagination too.... I spose I'll find out soon enough although I have done a pegnancy test...just in case and obviously it was negative cos i haven't missed a period yet... argggghhh!! Sorry i'm rambling!!!

susie

Hey susie

don't worry we all ramble on at times as you will get to know with all the other girls on here.

even if you didn't ov this month you will still get your period unless you are pg. the only thing really to do is try and hang on and take each day as it comes i know it's easier said than done but we're all here for each other.

hang in there hun and see how it goes either way we are here for you.

love and baybdust
