Hi Guys

I am sooooooooooooooo pleased that I have found this site. I have been wanting to talk to people about this for a while now, but it is difficult living in Guernsey...

I was recently diagnosed with blocked fallopian tubes so myself and my husband decided that we would try IVF straight away.

I have now been on the Synarel, (Nasal Spray) for 5 weeks and start the Gonal F injections next week. We are booked for Egg collection on 23rd NOvember 2009. So fingers crossed! The doctor seems positive enough, but obviously he has to also give you the dark sides. 1 being that we have a 1 in 3 chance of multiple births. To me, that does not seem so bad!!!!

Anyway, i would love to hear from anyone who can offer me any advise. I have lost 4 stone in weight since January, given up the cigs and everything. We have had some really bad news recently, father in law died 2 weeks ago and had to have by doggie put to sleep last week! So I am really hoping for some good news!!!!!

I want this to be a happy Christmas.......

Please reply with your stories, whether of success of not so successful, I would really like to hear from you.

Thanks

Nicky

Good luck

Hi I have done egg collection x2.

Surprised that you have such a definite date for you egg collection as it can depend on how you respond to the drugs ...

For some multiple is a negative, for us we hoped for twins and we had twins on the way! So delighted! A multiple is a negative for the clinics as they are being forced to reduce their multiple live birth rate stats!

You are doing all the sensible things, but
1) IVF is a numbers game so if it does not work try not to get too upset
2) looks like you have some guardian angels who will work their magic as much as as they can for you and little ones

Good luck and ask any more questions

hugs xx

Thank you

I really appreciate your lovely message.

well I start my Gonal F injections tomorrow and then I have my 1st scan on 17th and then I will know more. Basically we have been given the 23rd November as a provisional booking and so far so good. Hopefully we can still go for egg collection then.

To us, mutliple births is also not a problem, we would be happy to have Twins! Thank you and congratulations to you on your good news.

xxxx
