I am giving birth in Vancouver, Canada and I want to have my baby's cord blood banked. After some research, I went with Healthcord Cryogenics, which has a lot of information on their website for parents(www.healthcord.com). However, I don't know how accessible my cord blood will be once I return to Britain if my child ever needs it in a rush. I am told that it will not be a problem. Has anyone had this done in Britain or Europe for private banking? I hear the authorities don't permit it any longer for no particular reason.
