Has anybody been offered a membrane sweep to start off you labour??

Hi everyone,
HOpe everybody are doing just fine!!
I am 41 weeks + 2 days pregnant and been offered a membrane sweep ....
I would like to know from anybody that had done one how it's like to have and if it helped .....??
And I would like to also say that I am going to decline the sweep and wait a few more days...to see if labour kicks by its self..

I had a sweep . .

hiya! my contractions had slowed down with my little girl-i was only 3cm dilated and they gave me a membrane sweep-its only mildly uncomfortable and done fairly quickly, it can cause a bit of bleeding afterwards-but nothing to worry about . . anyway within an hour my contractions were back and getting stronger! the sweep def helped things move along a lot quicker! i had my little girl about 4 5 hours later, which may sound a while-but my contractions had pretty much given up before i had it done n i was looking at being sent home!

yeh i had mine on the saturday.. now right now... im in labour lol!!
