Hello everyone!
My name is Didi and I am 40 years old pregnancy woman.I am from Bulgaria and I am living here in London for more then one year and during this period I found out that I am going to have my third baby for what I was extremely happy. I don't know is this question for this section of the forum and excuse me if I made a mistake about it. So,since the day I found out I am pregnant I start to read alot of information about how the women actually deliver here. And I read and heard many different oppinions. As a matter of fact from the last ones I have to me honest that I am alittle bit afraid. The women who are delivered here told me that when you start to deliver they put you on one leg in the hospital and nobody look after you.And only if become critical situation then they pay attention on you. There is noone around you and someone who can ask you how are you or do you need any help. They are just waiting the baby to start coming out. The other thing is that today I wasnt feel really ok.I had a a big pressure down below,my head was rolling,I felt sickness like I can throw up,and sometimes I felt pain, and plus this I cant stop going to the toilet for number 1 and 2.Also there are other things-like simpthoms for getting birth to the baby.So I called to my midwife and she said to go straight in the hospital in one specific room. When I went in there was only one lady and I had to wait 3 hours some doctor to come and see what is happening. He made a simple check and just said "Go at home if it become worst come again during the night or in the morning".For me that was a shock and I was really worried about my baby and what will happen. After that I asked the doctor is it possible just to see the baby on scan just to comfirm that everything is alright and there is no problem. He refused and said I have to book un appointment for another day. Is this normal? Only two scans for 9 months?I thought here I will get more attention and care for my baby.
Please answer me.Because I have to decide what to do.
Thank you alot!
