"When does your belly pop out?"
Posted by jeniwarder 1 February  at  17:58

Hi, I'm nearly 16 weeks pregnant and although i've put on some weight on my tummy, it's not a bump really, and when I lie down it's still completely flat. Is that normal? I'm not overweight or anything. All the books say you should be able to feel your uterus popping out from around 12 weeks, but I haven't yet. Am I normal?

I am nearly 21 weeks pregnant and my belly still has not popped out - my scan last weeks showed that everything was completely normal! So don't worry. All women carry their babies differently.

There is really no determination on exactly when your belly will pop out, mine took 20 weeks to pop out lol! In the books they just go on the statistics of all woman as a whole. I know a person who you couldnt even tell she was pregnant the whole entire time, and her baby was born in a round 7 pounds or so, it just depends on your body and how the baby grows, how your uterus streches, and a million other things. I know it would be nice to be showing, I thought so when I was at your stage, now I wish the belly I have would go away...strech marks are coming, its hard to get comfy at night...and everyone touches you lol! Dont fret about anything, there is really no determination on what is normal and what is not in the size of your belly, unless your doctor says otherwise. I suggest that you find a web page where woman post there bellys, and you will see all of the variations of different ones...some of them I couldnt believe and others kind of scared me (strech marks from top to bottom of belly) Anyways I hope I have helped xoxoxooxoxox good luck with your pregnancy!
