Coming from ukraine

My Ukrainian girlfriend who is a month pregnant is coming to the UK next week. She expects to have a full medical examination from her new doctor here, but I'm not sure if this is normal practice any more. Should she see her doctor in Ukraine for a complete physical or will she be offered one here as a matter of course?
