Weird lump in my throat

Having a bit of a time of it ... currently 18 wks pregnant. Since week 8 have had a really weird lump-type feeling in my throat, excessive saliva and the feeling of having a hairball at the back of my throat. The local doctor has variously offered antibiotics, nasal spray, decongestant, etc... with no success. Recently went to see the ENT consultant - who confirmed that there wasn't an actual lump in my throat (which was some relief) but offered no particular explanation ... possibly hormone related (thanks!) might go away after the birth, could be the valve at the top of my throat going into overdrive due to acis (but I don't have any acid reflux).

Wondered if anyone could offer any advice - medical or otherwise?
