Hiya - can anyone out give me some advice please? I am 7 weeks pregnant and have been bleeding so went for a scan today. The hospital tell me i only look about 5 weeks pregnant and my cervix is ripe and there is a sac there but it is too early for them to detect a heartbeat so I need to go back in 10 days? If I have miscarried would i still be able to see the sac? Someone please tell me what you saw on your scan after a miscarriage????? Thanks - all advice welcome

PS I have had 2 twin pregnancies so am just hoping perhaps this was also a twin pregnancy and that I still have one viable baby!

hi- I started spotting at 6 weeks. It was a saturday I called the dr and on Monday i went for a sonogram i was able to hear the baby's heart beat. On Wed the bleeding got heavy went back to the Dr did another sonogram and heard the babys heart beat again. She told me sometimes you can bleed during your pregancy. I went on Friday night to take a walk i got two blocks from my house and my shorts were all full of blood. I went back to my house and i went to the bathroom and the baby passed out of me. I went to the Dr's today (Saturday)and she told me i lost the baby. I have to go back on Wed to see if everything passed out or i will have to get a D&C done. I was 7 weeks and at 6 weeks i heard my baby heart beat. Hang in there. Good luck !!

I had a miscarriage last year at 8 weeks, when I went for the early pregnancy scan they told me that I only looked 4 weeks pregnant. But initially the dates are not completely accurate so there was a chance I was just less pregnant than I thought I was. Unfortunatley when I went back the sac was lower and my bleeding was much heavier.

No two pregnancies are the same tho. It's common to bleed during pregnancy so it isnt always a sign of a miscarriage. I'm almost 6 weeks pregnant now and I've had bleeding on and off. My nan bled on all of her 5 pregnancies (all the way through) and she had 5 healthy babies.

I really hope it works out for you.

Sarah. xx
