Whilst I was pregnant last year before I miscarried my dentist would not do my mercury filling, I had it done in January. Now I'm 22wks+2days pregnant, I went for a check up a few wks back & I don't need any more treatment for the time being, bit of a bummer as its free !!!
I'm not sure about local anesthetic. I suggest you ring your dental practice up.
Get what you can whilst it is free, but you need to have filled the FW8 form in which you get from your doctor or midwife, which is normally done after they have confirmed your pregnancy.

Hope this is of some help to you.
Good luck xxx
