i had my first midwife appt at 7wks. she didnt do no bloods or urine. i got my scan date a week later and had my scan at 12wks. i saw another mw straight after my scan and she did urine and bloods. then i saw my mw again at 15wks for my triple test.

give it a week or two then ring the hospital and ask for your scan date.

g'luck with your pregnancy

"When should i expect first scan?"

I am 41 and 7 weeks pregnant. Had first midwife appt last week - she took a urine sample and asked all the questions.
She has referred me on to another authority because I live in the middle of nowhere and don't want to give birth at the hospital in the area of my Drs surgery, but can go to another town, where the facilities are better...
So now I have to wait to hear from them. At 41 years of age, and having my first child, does anyone know when I can expect to get my first scan? I haven't had any blood tests yet either.
The midwife made my next appt for 16 weeks, in the hope I wouldn't need it because I'd already be assigned to somewhere else.
At what point should I hassle someone for a scan date?

Hi fistly congratulations on your exciting news.
It is your doctors job to arrange your 1st scan which will be when your 12 weeks pregnant, you should recieve it by post within the next couple of weeks.(If for any reason you dont you should contact your doctor or the midwife you was seen to previously). If you are wanting to find out the sex you wont be able to find out until your 2nd scan which will take place when your 20 weeks.
As for blood tests they are normally taken on the same day as your scan at the hospital.I hope this helps?Goodluck!Gemmaxx
