Hey Katie,

I had a medical termination on the 14th aug (17wks) and delivered on the 16th. I didn't recover (i.e stop bleeding) for a further two weeks and it was very painfull bd (after the bleeding had stopped lol) until my af. Since then I have been fine but on monday night I had what seems to be what you had terrible pain in my abdominal area, put it down to my endrometriosis as I used to have similar pain before i fell pregnant but maybe not. This is my second month ttc so hopefully won't experience this for too much longer...fingers crossed.

Hey i had a mc on 9th of August and it was a very natural easy (if you get one) mc, i was due for a scan at 10am on the 10th but at 6.30am, i had passed the baby, i came out of the hospital on the 10th and had sex on the 11th, 12th and 13th. On the 11th it was sore but i just put it to the back of my mind and enjoyed it, 12th it was a wee bit sore but on the 13th the pain had gone. Thats not really why i was replying just really wanted to say good luck with trying again and hope you fall pregnant again quickly like me now 11 weeks pregnant, so heres alot of hope for you. take care

Did you have a d&c or did you opt for the natural option? I know after my first miscarraige it was week before I felt able to start trying again because I still felt very sensitive internally. On the second I was physically back to normal after 3 days.

I think you would be wise to go to see your doctor, just to be sure that everyting is back to normal. It's important not to ignore these things hun, your body is trying to tell you something.

I hope everything is ok.

They usually advise that you wait until you have had a normal period before trying again after having a d&c. Also not to have sex until the bleeding has stopped.
The main reason behind waiting for one normal period after d&c is because it is a surgical procedure and invasive so you are more open to infection.

Hope this helps

Nicki
