to hear you have had a horriable time. I was told by the hospital and my own doc, that the only reason, they tell you to wait is so its easier for them to give you a due date if you got pregnant after one cycle, ie making their job alot more easier and they dont have to think much. However i got pregnant about a week after my mc and they were able to give me a rough due date, which has turned out only 2 days out. When i went to get it comfirmed by doc, i was told its often easier to get pregnant striaght after mc coz the womb is open and easier for his little swimmers to get in. I am having a healthy pregnancy so soon after the mc, so hope you go on and have a healthy pregnancy soon,
Take care any time you want to chat pm me.

i dont really know where to start explaining everything thats happened over the past week but i found this site so helpful when i was trying for a baby that i thought it might help now. I began bleeding 8 days ago, I was 9 weeks. The bleeding gradually got heavier over the weekend and on monday morning we went for a scan at the early pregnancy unit only to be told our babies heart had stopped and it had not grown past about 7.5 weeks. They gave me the choice of a D&C, tablets or 'natural' option, I wanted a D&C as I just wanted everything to be over. Unfortunately the waiting list was too long though and I was given no option but to wait. I was just so heart broken, I didn't think it was possible to feel any worse. How wrong I was... By Monday night the cramps had started but i was managing them with co-codamol. On tuesday morning though they became unbearable and I dont think i've ever seen so much blood in my life! My husband had to ring for an ambulance as I couldn't walk to the car with the pain. When we finally got to hospital they gave me morphine which helped with the pain but made me act really wierd!

The doctors and nurses where really good, they examined me and did some removal of tissue to try and work out where i was up too, in the end they said they would be best off giving me the tablets to get things moving along. They gave me 4 in all and by tuesday night i had passed almost everything. On Wednesday they did another internal scan which showed i still had some tissue left to pass, but i think that might have gone now as the bleeding seems to be slowing down and i haven't needed any pain relief today. Today is the first day when i've had an appetite and not felt so uncomfortable. Im desperate to be pregnant again and the thought of another baby is all thats keeping me going at the moment. The doctor (who was pregnant) said to wait for a month, easy for her to say. Sorry if this is the longest post ever I just really needed to get everything out. Good luck to everyone who is trying again, lets hope we are all blessed with healthy babies some day soon xxxxx

Your story sounds like mine last year. Same timing 9 weeks but the baby stopped at 7.5 weeks.
Bleeding - never seen so much in all my life, like you.
I really understand how you feel.
We're with you.

Take care

"I know exactly what you're going through"
Posted by missteacher 20 November  at  09:22

Hello,

I've got no answers, I'm afraid, but just wanted to let you know you're not alone. I'm in a very similar place to you at the moment, having miscarried at the weekend (10 weeks). I had an ERPC booked for yesterday, but it happened on its own and like you I ended up in hospital. Although the staff were lovely it was a miserable and scary experience. I'm wavering between desperately wanting to be pregnant again and being really scared about going through this again. It seems to me from what i've read that there isn't a real medical reason for waiting. But I think it's important to listen to your own body. Make sure you're eating well - lots of iron-rich foods in particular after what we've been through - and getting plenty of rest. I keep hearing that the chance of getting pregnant again soon after miscarriage are pretty good, and it's really encouraging to hear of people on here having successful pregnancies so soon after. I don't know about you, but I'm also worried that if I really focus on getting pregnant again, the disappointment of a negative result could tip me over the edge.
It's so hard isn ... I wish this was a more helpful message, but I'm just veering one way then the other! I think I needed to get it off my chest. Look after yourself.

just wanted to thank you girls for replying. Think im starting to feel a bit better now, its been over a week since i found out. I really want to try again soon but am just so terrified of it happening again. Dctor has signed me off work for another couple of weeks so at least i can have time to sort myself out in my own way. Hope you are all ok, this site reallly is fantastic! Take care everyone xxxx

I just wanted to reply to let you know I feel exactly the same. I lost my baby on Monday and at the moment feel empty and lost. I was almost 11 weeks and was away in Cornwall at the weekend. I bled a bit on Sat eve and then more on Sunday night, i was so frightened. I was with my sister in law who had been through this so they took me to the hospital where I had a scan only to be told that the baby was very small and there was no heartbeat and that the sac was irregular. It's truly heartbreaking. We were travelling back on Monday, (we live near Manchester so 7 hour journey)and I felt so panicky cos i knew I didn't have long. The pains were getting worse and worse and coming in waves. We got stuck in a traffic jam outside Birmingham and we eventually stopped at Stafford services, my boyfriend had to practically carry me in and I miscarried on the toilet, there was blood everywhere but as we had been away I had spare clothes. I know I should have gone to a hospital but I wanted to be at home and to see my mum. I just hope now that i can conceive again and be successful but like you am terrified of trying.

Rach x
