"2nd miscarriage in less than 3 months "

Hey everyone. I am going thru my 2nd miscarriage and have no idea why it could be happening to me again. I had a miscarriage in September at 9 weeks. The baby had stopped growing at 7 and a half weeks. I had had brown discharge from about 6 weeks and at 9 weeks it went bright red. I had a scan at 6 and a half weeks which showed a heartbeat and then a scan at 9 weeks that showed that the baby no longer had a heartbeat. Afterwards I waited a month and we started trying again and I got pregnant straight away. I think it was doomed from the start tho coz I had brown discharge from a couple of days after I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks. Anyway, I had one bleed last week and had a scan on Friday that was inconclusive. They saw something that they thought could be a sac but it was tiny. They took some blood at the end and sent me away saying it was either ectopic, the pregnancy was failing and hadn't grown or I was a couple of weeks less pregnant than I thought. I had quite a bit more blood over the weekend so I knew things weren't ok. I was so terrified about the possibility of an ectopic. I had more blood taken on monday and the results showed that it was either ectopic or a miscarriage. I've since lost some clots and a big one that was grey (sorry for tmi!) so I assume that I'm now having a miscarriage. I have a twinge in my hip that made me worry about ectopic pregnancy, but it couldn't be now could it? Plus my mum said that it's in the wrong place and it's just coz i'm paranoid and keep on pking at my hip lol.
Well, I really want to know how it happened again. It cant be just bad luck again so soon after but who knows. Are there any tests they can do after the 2nd time or only if it happens 3 times?
Sorry about the really long post

sorry to hear of another m/c, its so hard, ive had 5 in the last 2 years.
they wont do any test till youve had 3 but i went private after 2, in the end because of my age (nearly 40) the doctor didnt even charge because he has a nhs clinic for miscarriage in my local hospital and made me an appointment there. they did various test, but before the results came back i got preggo again and m/c again, they found out i had sticky blood. when i became preggers again started taking asprin but m/c again. had another test for natural killer cells and came back i had a very high levels of the cells which means they attack anything that gets in my womb as they think its a foreign body. when i was pregnant last time i started taking steriods but still m/c.

they know so little about miscarriage that everything they do is just research. ive also read that the few woman who have had the steriods it hasnt worked the first time but it has the second. they cant even say that its the steriods that have helped or the pregnancy was just right at that time.

my last m/c was september and it has been really bad this time cos they find out problem i do what they say and its taken away again. each time its like getting hit by a tonne of bricks but im not goin to give up, im on cd 20 today so hopefully this time will be my time.

please be strong, you can do it and dont give up
