i miscarried 3 week ago. when should i expect my next period. bleeding stopped 2 week ago x

I AM A LITTLE CONFUSED AS THIS IS ALL NEW TO ME. I AM ONLY 5 WEEKS PREGNANT WITH MY FIFTH BABY AND AM HAVING A THREATENED MISCARRIAGE. I HAD SOME BLEEDING FRIDAY AND SATURDAY WITH LITTLE TO NO CLOTS AND MY CERVIX AT EXAMINATION WAS STILL CLOSED AND HAD LITTLE PAIN. I AM HAVING BLOOD TESTS TO SEE IF MY HCG LEVELS ARE FALLING OR NOT. I HAVE HAD AN ULTRASOUND BUT AS I HAVE ONLY PROBABLY GOT A FOETAL AGE OF ABOUT 3 WEEKS THERE WAS NOT A LOT TO SEE ON THE SCAN OTHER THAN A RIPE (ULTRASENOGRAPHERS TERMS) UTERUS SHOWING THAT I AM PROBABLY PREGNANT THEY COULD SEE NOTHING IN MY TUBES EITHER. IT IS NOW SUNDAY AND I HAVE HAD NO BLEEDING AT ALL TODAY AND STILL HAVE SORE SORE BOOBS AND STILL FEEL THAT BLOATED PREGNANT FEELING. AARGH I AM SO CONFUSED. HELP PLEASE THIS HAS NEVER HAPPEND BEFORE

I don't know much about this but i do know that my friend bled a lot at 6 weeks and her cervix was still closed and everything turned out ok (she's due in about 8 weeks and everything is fine). It sounds promising that you still have all the symptoms cos when i m/c they had vanished completely a few days before it happened. I think you will be fine, just try and relax (if you can). From what i've read on here it's very common. Have you posted this on the expecting forum cos i bet loads of the girls on there have been through something similar.

thanks so much. i will try that. i know i will know in time anyway but it is the not knowing that is killing me sounds stupid but true, just need to know wheather to get on with it or not. i guess i am more worried that it is in my tubes. jo

I m/c at beginning of November and didn't get my period till 7th December so was almost 5 weeks after m/c but about 3 weeks after finished bleeding think everyone is different but I was also glad to get mine and only have to wait one more till I can try again. Well they told me to wait 3 but getting really fed up of waiting and its making me feel worse I think because I can't try and its all I want. So one more normal period - whatever that is but then I am going to start again. Hope you are ok. I have found these last few weeks really hard - this is my 2nd m/c and can't help think what should have been but trying really hard to stay positive. Easier said than done hey!! xx

my doc said between 4-6 weeks. I m/c end of Nov and had half a day of a period just under 4 weeks later and then 5 days after that i came on again (that was last thurs) and i'm still bleeding now. Heavier than i ever had before but apparently that can happen. Weirdly i was glad to get my period but only cos it made me feel normal again.
