"Pains in uterus after erpc"
Posted by 1979bea 9 January  at  23:24

Hi there

Just wondering whether anyone on here had pains in their uterus when using the loo (#1 and #2 - sorry if tmi) and also when I pass wind (again, sorry if tmi!). It really really hurts but isn't stinging when I pee (which I think you get if urine infection) and I literally bled for a day after the ERPC and the pains are only when something happens down below! I've got no temperature or anything either and we havent made love yet as its only been 6 days so nothing to do with that. Maybe I'm just strange! Dr wants to see me on Fri if its still happening but just thought I'd check here too.

Thanks v much
Bea

Hi Vic and Laura

I checked your replies last week and they were really really helpful, deffo made me relax. Sorry I didn't reply, just didn't feel up to it at the time. Just to let you both know that I'm feeling much better thank you. Going back to work on Thurs to get some 'normality' back to my life and have been putting all my energy into losing weight properly by joining Weight Watchers and its deffo helped. The pain has deffo eased off and I haven't even attempted to make love yet but I don't think it's going to be a momentus occasion or anything cuz we haven't made love since I got preg in Oct! I have a lot of pain and bleeding in pregnancy so avoid sex until I'm in the 'safe' zone (if there is such a thing!) so may need to get drunk!!

Your advice has really helped. Thank you once again.

Best of luck, take care
Bea xx

I had the ERPC too and I had a bit of pain to when going to the loo. Like Laura said its a pretty delicate procedure to have so is a bit painful afterwards think I had it for about 2 weeks after. It did ease after the bleeding stopped. I was not allowed to try again for 2/3 months as this is my second m/c in four months but had sex for the first time last weekend and was pretty painful hopefully will get easier as going to hospital on Wednesday to hopefully get the all clear from some test I had to start trying again. Fingers crossed. How are you feeling? Things do get easier.
Love Vic xx

I had an ERPC three weeks ago now and it still hurts in my pelvic area but all tests have shown negative for any infection and scan shows all contents have been cleared from my uterus, which doesnt explain the pain in my groin, abs, thighs & lower back. I have returned to work but feel drained. As for no.2 hurting it could be bcos of constipation from pregnancy hormones & some painkillers like cocodamol. Does it hurt anyone else three wks after ERPC or is it just me?

i had erpc in nov 2006 after missed miscarriage and yes i had pain when using the loo afterwards.i'm not quite sure why it hurt when doing number 2's. i'm guessing hurts when going for a wee because of being catheterised, i wasn't told that i was being catheterised but when i came round from anaesthetic i had desperate urge for a wee and nurse said it was because of catheter.i only had pains when something happened down below and i suppose it's a delicate procedure we went through and done through very private and sensitive parts.
when you do start making love again try and take it gently because i found that a bit painful for the first few times. the pain did go between 1 and 2 weeks after procedure, i think.

how are you feeling emotionally i hope your getting plenty of love and support
take care love laura x
