Hello,

I had a M/C 5 weeks ago, my partner is very upset and desperatley wants to try again he wants to try every day for another baby, thing is im not ready at all im still not feeling 100%, he keeps fussing over me and planning it all out and its driving me crazy, i dont want to hurt his feelings iv tried explaining im not ready but he stil trying to convince me. To make things worse his brother has now announced that he and his partner are expecting and all he seems to go on about is babys, what food i should be eating how much i should be sleeping etc etc, i think im going to crack up!

"Too much pressure"
Posted by sadclare 6 February  at  16:12

Hi hun,

not sure how you're gonna do it but somehow you have to get him to ease up on you, all this pressure is the last thing you need right now. Know you don't want to hurt his feelings but what about yours? Not trying to negate the pain your OH is going through but this has happened to your body not his and you obviously need time to get your head around what's happened before you even think about trying again. Can't tell you what to do or say to make him listen cos I don't know him or your relationship but you have to find a way to communicate to him just how pressurised this is making you feel. Getting over m/c is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do and all this extra worry must be making it so much harder for you. Know you said you'd tried to explain how you felt to him but honestly hun you have to try again, if it takes you breaking down in front of him and pouring out your feelings then that's what you have to do. You and your partner need to support each other through this awful time and he has to realise that hassling you about trying again isn't what you need right now, love, support, understanding and patience is. Hope you manage to get through to him, message anytime if I can help.

Lotsa love,
Clare xxx
