Hi Girlies
Ok am I being totally crazy to start trying again straight away.
Finished bleeding today agter m/c last week and all I want to do is try again.
Hospital doctors told me to wait three months which I said I couldn't do as I waited three months after my 2nd m/c and it drove me insane so said I would wait one month and as we have had some tests done as this is our 3 m/c wait till they are back. But my gp said just to wait one normal cycle but now I just want to start again to get pregnant. I feel like I have done what the proffesionals told me 3 times and each time ended in m/c
What do you ladies think?
Thanks
Vic xx

you're not crazy - I had my first m/c two weeks ago and all i want to do is start trying again - am still bleeding tho so will have to wait till it stops. Have had various suggestions from docs etc - some say wait 2 cycles, some say 3 - my usual GP said to go for it as soon as I felt ready and i didn't have to wait for a period - he said they only tell you to wait to after a period as its easier for them to date the pregnancy - but he said with today's scanning equipment they can do that easy enough anyway - so why wait? If you both feel ready physically and emotionally then go for it. Me and my hubbie can't wait to try again, its driving us mad having to wait till the bleeding stops. hopefuly that will be in the next week or two.
go for it if you're ready Vic - good luck
Shirl xx

For all your support I really want to try again now my tests are due back in abou9t 2/3 weeks and I no that doesn't sound like a long time away but it feels it and I just no the doctor will then tell me to wait. All the tests that i have had done if any of them come back positive then they can only help me when I get to 5/6 weeks anyway.
Not sure if anyone knows about this - I have to go back to the hospital next thursday to check my hormone level is back to normal but if I start trying again now and just happen to get pregnant straight away will that hormone level immediatly go up? I no I am obsessing but I don't want the hospital to think I have not took there advice.
What do you think?
Thanks Vic x

hi hon, i m/c last nov and my doc told me to start whenever i felt ready. She said that she fell pg 6 weeks after a m/c and was fine. I think that some docs just say 3 months cos that's a standard someone set at some point and they just carry on saying it. I don't think there is any scientific reason.
You know yourself better than they do so i reckon go with your feelings.

Hiya Vic,
I know how hard it is to wait for a normal period & 6 weeks seems like 6 year when all you want to do is start trying (personally it gave me a focus to move towards after my 1st m/c & helped me move on a little)

The professionals at my EPU assured me 100% that this 2nd miscarriage had NOTHING to do with getting caught after my 1st m/c at christmas! I literally started the day the bleeding stopped & we concieved 14 days later.

I personally think you have followed their advice to the T in the past & its made no difference so I would go with your instinct & if it all feels right for you & your partner to try again then go with what your heart tells you. we have stopped ttc now but only because I have a 2 year old daughter who hasnt seen me well since before christmas & I think its time we had a break (plus there are other issues for me to face beforehand that we are pretty sure are directly effecting my chances of carrying to term)

Good Luck with whatever you decide & Good Luck with any future pregnancies
