Hiya ladies, ive just tried replying on my other d&c thread but it keeps saying 'error' so ive had to start this new post!
EPU have refused to give me a D&C! They wont even scan me! I explained im still getting BFP's & the bleeding has slowed down, turned brown & have no pains or clots! But they have told me to 'wait another 2 weeks because it will happen naturally' Ive said 'it wont happen, I can tell, the whole process has slowed to a stop almost' but they've said Ive got to wait, a scan wont show anything different if the baby is still in there!
Im worried there might be an infection because the blood is thick & brown (sorry tmi) Ive booked to see my gp but cant get in till 27th if I want to see my usual gp (the only female doctor there) she was amazing with me the day the bleeding started (refered me but i got told there was no beds) and said if theres anything I need or that she could do to get in touch, she even offered to ring in work for me! So im hoping some good news will come from seeing her. The torment of knowing my babies dead inside me & has been there for 2 weeks now its awful, i want it all over & done with already
Thanks so much for your replies on the other post, they really so help, you ladies are angels I swear

I think thats outrageous that they've refused to give you a D&C - didn't they offer to you in the early stages anyway? I can't understand what has changed or why on earth they think you shouldn't have one. I think you are an absolute trooper hanging in there with what's going on, plenty of people couldn't have coped waiting this long and it seems awful that they don't seem to understand the torment that goes on in this situation. (rant over).
I had blood which sounds like yours in consistency and colour, the main thing I watched out for like Rach Jones said back then was the smell, but thankfully it never happened, so I'd just keep your eye out for that hun.
What about the tablet to speed things up - have they said any more about that or have you had any thoughts about that?
I hope you are as OK as you can be hun, I'm thinking of you, Love N xxxxxxxxxxx

Really sorry to hear what's happening to you. Can't really understand why they're saying what they're saying. When i m/c i had a complete and had a scan 3 days after that confirmed it but i did get an infection, i think due to some left over tissue. The d/c was almost black and very smelly (sorry!) so it was obvious something was wrong. Can you bring yourself to go to one of the male GPs? Hang in there hon, we're all here for you.

hun, looked for you on msn but you anit there, so will say it on here instead.
Sorry to hear they anit going to do anything for another 2 weeks. You're GP place is probley different to mine, like yours you have to book well in advice to be gaurteed to see a certian doc but with my one, with my one, you can phone and see if theres a cancellation at opening time, and they've also just started a day-realise ones at opening time but there's never gaurteed you see the doc you want and you will get one. Maybe see if there is cancellation for sooner or ask the repectionist you want Dr so and so to phone you back as soon as possible and speak to her that way. 2 more weeks waiting to see if it happens its self or to see a doc or go to epu is horriable just thinking about it so cant imagine what your like hun. You know where i am if you need me hun, take care and give della a cuddle for me, xx

thought EPU's were there to help not drag things out for you, I'm so sorry they've been so heartless hun. Can understand your concern about infection but try not to worry unless it gets smelly (sorry TMI I know) I had similar bleeding with my last m/c and I didn't have an infection, like I said before think it was just everything breaking down and coming out slowly rather than all at once in a heavy bleed. I just hope your doc can do something to help, is it worth asking for her to call you just so you can discuss things and see if she can do anything to speed things up with the EPU? If you explain to the receptionist that it's an ongoing problem (no need to go into details though) and you really need to speak to her they should be able to arrange for her to call you, have done this with my doc and she was fine about it. Really don't think it's gonna do you any good to have to wait til the 27th, can only imagine how you must be feeling and don't see how you can even begin to come to terms with it all til it's properly over. I'll be thinking about you sweetheart, keep us informed how you're doing and don't forget we're always here if you need us.
Lotsa love, Clare xxx
