please help im going crazy!! i had some bleeding two days ago, had a scan yesterday which showed baby with heartbeat (7weeks and 3 days) since the bleeding my cervix feels open- i know it is! i said this to midwife and all she said is wait and see what happens! i cant stand this! i feel like iam about to come on a period im so confused and upset! has this happened to anyone else??? i saw the heartbeat i should be exited but i just keep waiting to bleed! i read that an open cervix always results in a miscarriage, midwife said the same.

What did the sonographer say? Did he/she confirm that your cervix was open?

The good news is that once you have seen the heartbeat the risk of miscarriage drops quite a bit. It then drops further at 10 weeks with a positive scan and then most recogisably a viable pregnancy at 12 weeks.
