"I know the feeling"

Hi, I am knew to this site but wanna say a big thanks to everyone as it has already helped me through a rough time. I also miscarried recently, at 6 weeks, and it absolutely broke my heart. We agreed not to try again for a while but alas I am now pregnant again only 4 weeks later. I am overjoyed at the news but obviously very scared that it might happen again. Just hoping that this time everything will be alright, I understand you are at no greater risk, they just ask you to wait after miscarriage for a full cycle so they can date it properly. Fingers crossed this time, I already have a healthy little boy who is nearly 3 so no reason to think there is anything more serious going on. Good luck to everyone else out there!

Hi

I had a missed miscarriage miscarriage 6 weeks ago - was 10 weeks when i found out and they said I'd lost the baby at 7 weeks - have done a pregnanacy test this morning and read "pregnant" within seconds. Off to the docs this afternoon to be referred to the EPU but worried I'm goign to be told off for not waiting untili had a period. Not sure how to feel - don't think we will be able to get excited until we get to 12 weeks and that seems such a long way away at the moment - esp not knowing when to count from -

Can anyone answer - do they count from when you had D&C?

Fingers crossed for everyone in the same boat - trying not to think about it but can see it being a sleepless 2 months. The thought of us having to go through that again does not bear thinking about x

HI. MISCARRIED THRU BLEEDING LAST JULY 27,2008. WHEN I ATTENDED EARLY PREGNANCY UNIT JULY 16, THEY REKON IT WAS A FAILURE. NO HEARTBEAT. BUT I THOUGHT I WAS ON MY EARLY PREGNANCY. THEY CHECK MY BLOODS AND ALL. I HAD SCANS EVERY WEEK. IM SO IRRREGULAR WITH MY PERIOD EVEN BEFORE THAT I DIDNT KNOW HOW MANY WEEKS PREGNANT I WAS THEN. MY FIRST POSITIVE PREG TEST WAS JUNE 19, 2008.
THEY SAID I WAS 8 WEEKS PREGNANT WHEN I MISCARRIED.
I DONT HAVE MY PERIOD YET SINCE.
BUT THEY ARE VERY IRREGULAR ANYWAYS.
I HAVENT DONE A PREG TEST YET.
IM SCARED THAT IF I GET PREGNANT I MAY LOSE IT AGAIN.
I WISH ICAN GET PREGNANT SOON.
WE'VE BEEN TRYING FOR ALMOST 3YEARS.
WE'RE EVEN UNDER FERTILITY STUDY.
I WISH...I WISH..I WISH
NICE TO KNOW YOU CAN GET PREGNANT IMMEDIATELY AFTER A MISCARRIAGE.

hello there,
i have been diagnosed with an incompetent cervix (IC) back in 2004 i have had three mid-trimester miscarriages at 21, 19, 17 weeks gestation (1 girl and two boys)my first pregnancy(2003) went well until 18weeks then my waters broke and was laid up in hospital until 21weeks when i went into labour, the second preganancy (2004) the doctors monitored me and couldnt explain what was wrong with me i felt a heavy feeling and went to the hosptal at 17weeks and again laid up for two weeks but later miscarried spontaniously. i was then diagnosed with IC & blood diorder (hetrozygos) and agreed with the doctor that i would be monitored from day one of the pregnancy. I fell pregnant third time and was scanned weekly, however at 16weeks my cervix had dialated to 3cm and a suture was to put in place. I went to theatreand was still 3cm the surgeon tried to put the suture in but my waters went and i had the baby that day. Now im pregnant again with my fourth pregnancy and was scanne from 5weeks and had regular swabs done to monitor infection. I was then took to theatre at 11:20 4th July 2008 and put to sleep to have the suture put in place. the procedure took 25mins with little blood loss and at that point i was 13weeks. today i am 15weeks and dont feel any different physically which is good! but i feel at ease that i have

"Miscarriage 6 weeks ago, think i may be pregnant"
Posted by dennisja 2 July  at  21:33

Hi, I had a missed mis carriage on 22May08, I was 11 weeks but was advised the baby died at around 6 weeks. I started bleeding lightly and finally passed it on 25th may. I bled lightly for about 7 days from the full on miscarriage. A few weeks ago I had VERY VERY light bleeding but only each morning for 3 days. I had a neg test on 19th June. Since then I have massive nipples (as before), cant sleep from about 4am (wake up for a wee, as before), head aches all day, and the worst thing is if i am not pregnant my stomach looks just as it did before (as i was showing alot very early) I went on a diet after last one and lost alot of the weight but now its back, My legs are so achey (as before) and I am tanning alot easier (as before) I feel a bit sick but not sure if this is worry. Not forgetting the lovely spots I have (which again i had before) Took a test on 30June Neg again! My other half reakons I am, think its cos of my fattness and moodiness. So I basically am sure I am, but worried that I am imagining this as i want it so much?

"Pregnant again"
Posted by ellasmummy 25 February  at  00:48

hi, i found out 12th January that i was 5weeks prgnt, on the 17th i miscarried naturally. i only bled for 2days and doctors said everything was healthy and back to normal after 3days and that i could ttc when i felt ready. now nearly 6weeks after m/c i still had no period but felt like i was pregnant. i took a home test today and found out i was pregnant again, so it can happen. i don't think your at a higher risk, but not to sure as im going through same thing.
Good luck though and hope you go on to have a healthy pregnancy and a beautiful baby. x

2nd jan i found out i was preg the 14th i started bleeding next day i went to early preg unit they coulnd see anything in scan so said i must be realy early as nothing is there and my test was positive so they took my bllod that day and two days later too. They had said as my blood level was low they had determined i had had an early miscarraige.I felt empty after that. The week after i felt strange again same symptoms.Last fri i did a test it was a strong positive i called thenurse she said it myt be my hormones not fully came away i had to argue bak and say if it was surey i was early preg so there couldnt have been alot of hormones to cum away she then told me to wait a wek and do another one so i did and again that was positive it is tomorrow i am goin in 4 a scan to see if i was still preg i.e the feutus has held on or i am preg again or maybe twins. There are so many things that it could be i am hoping to be preg i have gained wait and my hormones r alover the place diff mood swings all the time.I always go on these websites to reasure myself i am not the only one this happens to and there are cures for it not happen to again.Think positive and dont stress yourself out as that wont help either.
Good luck to u xxx
"How was your scan??"
Posted by hnr1 18 February  at  18:29

Sounds like you are having a hard time and I bet you just want to know if you are preggers or not!! Fingers crossed that you are x

I was taken into hospital on Tuesday 12th (2 days before scan) as I was cramping really bad and had been bleeding for 4 days, they did a scan and we saw the sac, but no yoke and they dated me at 5 weeks and 2 days!! They sent me home had I had to go for a follow up blood test, which they said was not good as I did not double the hCG hormone, that left me a bit shocked and they just told me to wait for my next scan. That is tomorrow, so I am hoping that it is all alright - but I have been cramping and bleeding the whole time, it has also felt like my back is going to split into two, but I have not had the big gush of blood like the last time, so I am not too sure what is going on!

Fingers crossed for btoh of usx

Hi,

I am due to go for a dating scan on 14th Feb as I have found out I am pregnant following my miscarriage in December, think I may be between 8 to 10 weeks. Has anyone had bleeding (bit more that spotting) for about 3 days which has not ended in a misscarriage, my last miscarriage started like this and I think I maybe about to have an other one??

Any advise would be appreciated?

Hello!
The ssmae thing happened to me. I was about 7 1/2 weeks pregnant with twins when I miscarried this past christmas. I was devastated. My husband was out at sea when i found out I was pregnant and when I had miscarried. I recently found out that I am pregnant again, about 5 week. I never got a menstrual period after the miscarriage, but have been back and forth to the docs many times in the past two weeks. My ob/gyn says that everything is fine and that there is no reason to worry..but make sure you keep up with the prenatal vitamins and take folic acid. But there is usually no reason to worry, i know that it is hard not to. Especially when it comes to excitement about the baby..you cant really get out of the fear stage until you are past the first trimester, or so i was told. good luck
