I just lost my baby yesterday. Im still upset but have been busying myself to take my mind of it. I have already thought about trying for another child. I was wondering if anyone knows of a site that will calculate my ovulation after miscarrige....or if anyone knows if this is just like my period will i ovulate as normal after it. Im very confused, i have cried alot. I want to busy myself getting ready to start again and if i had a good site like this but that will caculate my cycle and ovulation after this horrible oreal. thank x

so sorry for your loss make sure you have time to grieve about it and acknowledge your feelings, it is so important. anyway, I also had 2 m/c's and used a couple of sites to get back into it again, google Sperm meets egg plan which is a good plan for people who have had m/c's and also theres fertility freind.com which is where you can chart your temps and progress. I did both of these things and got my bfp last week after 3 months of trying, so good luck hun and take care of yourself xxxx rach xxx

....Don't listen to the docs babe, you can start trying straight away, just make sure you're ready in your heart. The only reason doctors tell you to wait is because it makes it easier for them to calculate dates etc. After my second miscarriage I fell pregnant again within 3 weeks, not actively trying at that point. I didn't realise it could happen so fast. Apparently you will ovylate within 4 weeks of miscarrying (if you have a normal cycle). Fortunately for me everything's ok this time and I'm expecting a healthy happy baby in 8 weeks so good luck, have faith and hope to see you on the expecting forum soon....

so sorry to hear about your loss. i m/c last nov and in the last few months have started to try again.
In my case my first period came about 5 weeks after my m/c. But i think cos everyone's so different it's too hard to predict ovulation. I know of girls on here who caught quite quickly after m/c so some of us must ovulate whereas as some might not. I guess if you're feeling ready to start again then just start trying, you never know! Another thing, some docs say to wait for at least one period, i think to make dating easier but my own gp told me to start whenever i felt ready, she herself fell pg 6 weeks after m/c.

Good luck hon, and take care x x x

I am so sorry for what you going through but there are lots of ladies on here that understand and you can talk to. Many have gone through miscarriages on multiple occasions - I am one of them.

Unfortunately, you cannot predict ovulation after a miscarriage as technically you not having a 'period' on your regular cycle. This is why doctors recommend that you wait one cycle before trying again. That being said - many women dont wait as your hormone levels are at there highest after a MC. Your period should return between 4 - 6 weeks after but could take as long as 8.

Good luck and try to relax - the mind has a very powerful effect on the way the body works especially when under pressure.
