Hi
I've had a miscarriage and am in terrible period like pain. Have been taking paracetomol but they make no difference.
Does anyone have any miracle cures to ease it....or know how long it might last?

... I remember the pain and the pain of my first and second AF were awful too. The only thing that worked for me was combining paracetomol and ibruofen (alternating each one every 2 hours so I was constantly dosed up). Hope you're feeling better. Not only have to got to deal with the emotional pain, you have to deal with the physical pain too.

Hope you're feeling better.

I Had a mc last year and although I had to deliver I still had pain afterwards the only thing that helped was a hot water bottle or a nice hot bath.

i had real bad period pains, and extreme pain an hour before i passed my baby only thing found helped was pain killers and then lying down. hosp said hot water bottle to me but i didnt try that. i had the pain until i passed my baby took 5 days from first onset of bleeding. take it easy if pain is unbearble you should phone or go to hosp, i was told any serious pain or bleedin to phone ward. it doesnt hurt to phone just to put your mind at rest either.

hope pain eases soon honey

"Thanks for the advice"

Thanks for all the advice.

I called my doctor (emergency night service) as I was on tablets for high blood pressure and wasn't sure if I could take Ibuprofen. The nurse I spoke to told me to go to the hospital. It was the priamry care clinic, not A and E.
I saw a doctor who gave me Co-Codamol and told me to take them with Ibuprofen.

When I got home I started bleeding v heavily and was constantly on the toilet and in pain like I've never experienced before. I was up most of the night but did manage to sleep a bit. In the morning I think I had passed the majorty of the pregnanacy (very painfully) and felt very tired but had only a dull ache.

I'm still bleeding very lightly now but have no pain. I've been for a scan and it's all gone. The nurse at the EPAU was brilliant, cancelling all my scan appointments and letting my doctor and midwife know what had happened.

Not sure how I feel emotionally. Kind of ok...then not ok....I was sure something wasn't right a few weeks ago so I sort of prepared myself. Although I think it helps that we hadn't told anyone I'd also quite like to talk about it to people...?

Hope this helps someone in the same situation
