Ive had two miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy which I naturally lost. I have just recieved an appointment for the miscarriage clinic and an rather scared.
I have no idea what they do or what they look for and am scared that they will find something wrong with me.
Has anyone else been in this situation? and advice, tips?

I got referred to a consultant after my 3rd miscarriage, am assuming this is more or less the same as the clinic you'll be attending. Basically they'll take bloods and run tests for a variety of things, can't tell you all of them off the top of my head but it's stuff like sticky blood, abnormalities in the way your blood clots and unusual antibodies. Most of this stuff can be treated from what I understand so try not to worry too much. They'll also want to take blood from your partner at some point, this is to check that your chromosomes and his are compatible as some people's aren't, this can be treated too. My tests all came back clear and I'm now 17 weeks pregnant again with no problems so far so don't jump to the conclusion there's something wrong, know it's hard to get your head round but it really is sometimes just bad luck, not that that's any comfort to us! I was petrified when I went for my tests so know just how you feel but try and look on it as a good thing, at least if there are problems you'll know and can start getting them sorted. I actually found it harder that there wasn't anything obvious wrong, no explanation as to why I'd lost my babies but I'm living proof that things can work out next time, really hope it's the same for you. Message anytime if there's anything I can do and got everything crossed for you that your appointment will go well.

Lotsa love,
Clare xxx
