I agree with the other girls, go and get checked out just to be on the safe side. Know just how you're feeling, I didn't go to the docs with this one til I was past 9 weeks, the furthest I'd got before cos I was just too scared. Trouble was cos I'd left it so long I only just managed to scrape in for my 12 week scan and by then I was desperate to know everything was ok so ended up wishing I'd gone sooner. I honestly don't think you being ill for longer than everyone else is a bad sign though, your body's just busier than non-pregnant peoples so it's probably just taken you a bit longer to get over it. I really do understand how scared you are hun but the only way you're gonna start to feel better is to go to the docs and get your scan sorted and your bloods checked. The girls are right, it's incredibly reassuring to see that heartbeat and you're denying yourself that peace of mind. Sometimes think we punish ourselves on purpose when we've m/c'd before, I'd convinced myself this one wouldn't work out cos I just didn't think I deserved it but I'm 23 weeks now and finally starting to believe it. I've got everything crossed for you, miracles really do happen and it's your turn hun.

Take care and good luck,
Clare xxx

Hi It is so nervewracking after m/c's to trust you will be fine this time, we all automatically think the worst, I am still miss pessimism and i had my dating scan at 10+2 which was fine, but as it was early am still not convinced the baby is ok, I have now booked myself for another scan in two weeks as I cant go till sept to check it out again, which is a bit crazy and irrational and I really cant afford it!!! my friend was a bit like you with sorry to say head in the sand a bit, and her baby was fine, the sickness is good and i promise once you get to after the scan the time goes much faster, take care hun rach xxxx

well congrats on the baby in the first place, but oh i know just how you feel! Im now 9 weeks ill be 10 weeks on wednesday and i even had a scan last week on monday and im due to go to the midwife tomorrow, but im scared to death that in between now and last week something has happened to my baby. Im still feeling kind of nauseous so hope thats a good sign. I dont think you can truly relax when youve had a m/c every twinge sets you panicing, but i think you should go and see the doctor, if youve been feeling ill why not? My last scan lady was lovely and said when youve had that in your history theres no harm in checking it out. And its reassuring i have not been stressing as much since i saw a heartbeat, but deep down i am a bit worried something could go wrong, ive never got this far with a pregnancy. Youre not mad, youre pregnant haha im not sure if theres a difference mind the way im feeling! Good luck i say get it checked out if you feel you should might atleast put your mind at ease.
