I had a m/c 5 wks ago (had previous one Nov 07 at 10 wks) i thought i was 16 weeks pregnant unfortunately my baby had stopped growing at 12 wks + 5days scanthe wk before that we saw heart beat and everything looked fine), had to go into hospital to have baby taken away, ended up on a drip as i had added complications and i just feel so sad. Thought we'd got past the 12week stage and everything was fine (scan had shown this) - has this happened to anyone else?

Just feel so sad and empty at the moment its heart breaking how all your hopes are taken away. Everyone says it gets easier in time, i guess it will/does just at the moment its so raw and very very sad.

love and best wishes to all

xx

Hi,
I know exactly how you feel- had a scan at 11 wks, saw the heartbeat and told everything fine.Told all friends and family, as well as kids at my school (I'm a teacher.) Miscarried two weeks later- baby had stopped growing at the same point as we were scanned. Felt like my heart had been ripped out.
I am 3 weeks on now, had a D&C and am still bleeding, but the emotional pain is starting to lift. I've heard every cliche in the book (not helpful at all) but finally I am ready to move on and start trying again soon.
I felt like my life had ended and I didn't care what happened to me, but once I'd stopped and thought about it, I tried to be positive. I hope that it is a tragic one off. Otherwise I'd go mad.
Hope this helps.
Am here to chat if you need. Best wishes. xx
