Just wanted some advice
Miscarried six weeks ago at 13 weeks, had a D & C a few days later. Had bleeding (plus an infection) for 3 weeks, so have been just over two weeks without bleeding.
Am sure I ovulated between bleeding finishing and now, and we started to try as soon as the initial bleeding had stopped.
Was convinced I got my period on Sunday- had had cramping and backache, but it lasted for an afternoon, and there has been very little since, really only on wiping. It is like what I lost when I started to miscarry. My periods are usually regular, heavy and painful, so this is weird. I dont really even need to wear a pad (sorry if tmi).
I feel lousy, am grumpy, my boobs are killing me and I feel like my body is just mocking me. What are other peoples experiences of post D&C periods? I feel like a freak, cant talk to anyone as I am over it apparently. I did a pregnancy test to double check and it was negative.
Is this going to carry on for a bit and then start properly? Please help, I feel really alone.

Helen

hey, cant really give you advice as I dont know what my body is doing either.. but can tell you what happened to me. i miscarriaged at 12 weeks in June, although the baby died at 8 weeks, as the baby hadn't come away naturally i had to have a D&C to stop the risk of infection. after the D&C I was bleeding for around 10 days. since i haven't had a period. About 2 weeks ago i started loosing what was like a dark brown discharge (sorry if tmi!) Now nearly 7 weeks on i still haven't had a period, i dont know what to expect or when to expect it as im in a similar boat to you, 'im over it' me and my boyfriend dont talk about it anymore, which i hate as all i want to do is talk about it, which is why i resort in the websites!
But you are certainly NOT alone, for the last month or so ive been feeling really emotional, which is what i get like when i am due on but, nothing.
so sorry i cant really help you but please dont feel alone because you are not, miscarriages are not taken seriously enough and there is not enough support out there for people who have been through them.
Take care and i hope it all works out for you xx

Hi I had a d&c nearly 3 weeks ago....and haven't had a period as yet. Its very confusing isn ... I had little traces of blood, but as you say only on wiping. I also had infection after m/c. So I'm now waiting patiently on periods to start.
I was told that it could take 3 months for your periods to get back to normality. I want ttc....but don't know whether to wait for periods to come or just go for it.
Sorry I haven't been much help here....just sharing my views. Hope things stat to look up for you.x

I had an incomplete m/c ~6 wks in Oct and ERPC 3 weeks later.

It took my body a long time to get back into a 'normal' cycle. My DH made a few comments as well about how he wanted me to 'move on'. I think we was just frustrated that I was so unhappy and he couldn't fix it. We do talk now, although it was hard at first. Our DHs deal with this in a completely different way. Mine struggles to understand PMT let alone this roller coaster

Don't give up, maybe try to talk to him again and explain how you feel.

You're definitely not alone.

Sarah xXx
