Silent miscarriages
Hi, I am curious to hear from anyone who has suffered a silent miscarriage. i am 7 weeks & my breasts have suddenly stopped feeling tender, i read on netdoctor that is the most common sign of a SM... I have no other pregnancy symptons, but doctors won give me an ultrasound unless ou are bleeding...so i have to wait until 12 weeks or so for my scan!!!!!!!!!!!

Silent miscarriages
hi. i know u posted this a while ago, but i have just suffered a silent miscarriage. i was searching it on net and come across this. i hope all worked out for u. i lost my baby at it 7 wk. i was going for my booking in scan at the hospital and i was due to be 11 wks. the scan showed no heart beat and it was only 7wk and 2 days. i had no idea, i still had all the symptoms. feeling sick, dizzy and sore breasts. even till this morning as i went into hosp. i have since found quite a lot of my friends it happened to so it was nice to hear that and that i was not alone. my husband and i have 2 daughters age 9 and 10, but we are going to try again in about 6 mnths or so. if u ok and still preggers then that gr8, if u suffrered, then i so sorry ur not alone. hope u ok. p.s why do u have to wait till 12 wks for a scan, don't u get one as soon as u find out ur preggers and ur doctopr refers u to hosp. that what happens where i live. hope all ok . x x x x x x from kate, in wallasey, uk.

Hey
Hey darlin,
You will see in the forum my miscarriage has only happened this week
I dont want to alarm you in any way, but three weeks ago I lost all symptoms of pregnancy, except the tiredness. I was due to have my first scan next week. I would say dont get too worried yet, but watch out for flu symptoms, that is a bad sign to be honest. I never expected it to happen. I was supposed to be 10 weeks on the 7th July, but when I started to bleed early thursday mornin, they scanned me and all they could see was an amneotic sack and foetal pole, which was too small to have expect a heartbeat.
I agree with the other girl below, if you really are that concerned, pretend you had bleeding. If anything is wrong its best to find out sooner rather than later, but if everything is ok, you can relax and look forward to more scans.
Good luck my love and let us know how you do
xxxxxxxxx Emma

Silent miscarrages
hi i went for my dating scan tuesday and found that my baby had no heart beat apparently this is known as a silent miscarrage, i thought i was 13-14 weeks they said baby measured 9 wks i was and still am feeling sick have sore boobs., hospital were very abrupt and couldnt give a ... about how u feel and i am left waiting for d and c till tues possibly weds depending on beds.
doctors/nurses dont give a ... unless its them going through it.
If i was u i would ring an early pregnancy assessment unit and pretend u have had a bleed that way they will get u scanned and u will find out for sure

Yes!
hi Charli,
I had a miscarriage last year, the staff at Redhill hospital were fantastic. I started bleeding very early morning and called Crawley A&E who were great. They advise I stay home and make my way to Redhill hospital to be scanned at 9AM when the unit opened. I did this and discovered I had had a miscarriage, the staff were amazing. They gave us time to gather outr thoughts, offered us an ear if we needed it then and there. Gave lots of phone number and groups for both me and my partner if we wanted help and advise
Lat night I had another miscarriage and called the A&E in Brighton who passed me through to delivery ward, I spoke with a midwife who said go to A&E now. I did this, waited an hour in the mess and idiots messing around who thought it was funny being in A&E. I seen a sweet doctor who said I had to wait till my scan Thurs, (which was already book) to see if I had miscarried. I have called the early pregnancy unit here in Brighton this AM to be told "you'll have to wait till Thursday, theres nothing we can do even if you have miscarried" I then rang Redhill to ask thier advise, they said if I were local they would have scanned me that AM, they try not to leave suspected miscarriage due to the stress is causes the mothers. They did offer for me to go there to be scanned but I feel its all over now and would there be a point going?
How can one hospital be so great, organised and another be such a disturbing mess!?! Not only was Redhill amazing but the A&E at Crawley advising I stay home and wait till Redhill scan unit was open. I can tell you I'd have been much happier at home last night than sitting in a filthy Brighton hospital knowing what was happening and to be told I had to wait till Thursday topped it all for me.
I hope things have picked up in your life by now and good luck for the future. x

Silent miscarriage
hi i was reading ur reply. i so shocked about what u said, that the hosp staff and the way u felt u treated. i have just this week suffered a silent miscarriage and all the staff were so nice to me in my local hosp. they explained everything to me and the midwife even called me at home a few days later to see if i was ok. i didn't have the surgical management (d and c) i had the medical management. a tablet to start contractions. i went in for the day had my own private room and my own nurse, ordered in advance my meals and could have as many visitors as i wanted at any time of the day. they were all so lovely and so understanding and made me and my husband feel so comfy and just made us feel like everything was going to be ok. this was not a private hospital just a normal nhs. they made it as easy for me as possible. all the staff in the early pregnacy unit were all lovely.
You shouldn't have to say u been bleeding to get a scan, shorly if u have any concerns and u see ur gp they can send u for one sraight away. mine does. i guess different places work dofferently. i hope all works out for everyone in the end. god bless. kate x x x x

Silent miscarriages
Hi
I found out i was pregnant 2 weeks ago, the doctor has confirmed i would be around 7 weeks now but i have no symtoms except tender breasts. I'm worried sick but trying not to get stressed! I was also told i have to wait until the 12 week scan but i feel like i'll go mad in the next 5 weeks. Is it normal to have no symtoms of all you hear and read so much about tiredness and morning sickness????
