5 weeks pregnant and scared of miscarriage

I am now about 5 weeks pregnant. I wont be going for a dating scan for another two weeks, so I'm very anxious. I have been feeling twinges in my lower stomach and a bit of spotting. I've read that this is all pretty normal, but it still scares me a bit. I'm terrified of miscarriage. This is our first and we've been trying for 7 months. Can't wait to reach 12 weeks and then be able to relax more.
My stomach has already grown too

I'm 5 wks and feel the same!
I'm so glad i found wot u'd written this as i'm excatly the same!! from 5wks pregnant to tall & slim.
my husband and i have been trying for a little while so now i'm pregnant the idea of losing it scares the hell out of me. I keep feeling achy low down and have slight period pains. Everytime i go to the toilet i'm scare i'll be bleeding. I want to enjoy being pregnant so much and now i feel like a paranoid loon!

Believe you me you will know if you have a miscarriage! Try not to think about it and just enjoy the whole experience..... with big belly

5 weeks pregnant with fibroid scared of miscarriage!!
I went in for an operation yesterday to remove a fibroid apparently the size of a melon only to be told I am 5 weeks pregnant, I am over the moon because I was told after removing the fibroid could result in me being unable to have children, I have read up to find out what's happening but I am so scared of miscarriage! The Doctor has confirmed I can still carry with a fibroid so I am just keeping my fingers crossed!! Congratulations to you all.

i am too 5 weeks pregnant and scared of miscarriage! my first pregnancy! im having period pains i know its normal but i still worry! i havnt been showing yet though! really frightened x

im 6 wks pregnant, im having pain abdomen throughout the day. im scared because i havnt got my family with me, i havnt got anyone to share my problem, im scared in my life, please give me suggestions.

5 weeks pregnant too
Hi, congratulations. I'm also 5 weeks pregnant so know how you're feeling however this will be my second child if everything goes okay, I also am a bit worried about a miscarriage but there's nothing we can do to stop this happening unfortunately, all we have to do is chill and take it easy at this stage, cross our fingers until we get to twelve weeks. I had two miscarriages before me first child but it's just a way of saying tht the babies not strong enough. That's how i got through it really because the baby wouldn't have been completely health. I'm not showing yet, although have put on weight because of the eating lol. With my first child i didn't show until about 4 months properly! Anyway good luck

5 weeks pregnant and scared of misscarriage
Hi, i am 5 weeks and 1 day, i found out 3days ago. I am only 18, this is my second pregnancy. I had a miscarriage in September last year, i was only 11 weeks. I am so scared of miscarrying again because it was just awful, i didn't have any symptoms either which i think is worse.
I haven't got any pregnancy symptoms yet, just really hungry. Most women are experiencing sore breasts, sickness and nausea etc. And i have nothing. I'm quite worried as i'm not due to see my midwife for another 2 and a half weeks. Would really like to talk to someone because i'm not sure if i should be experiencing symptoms yet?
Also, i am absolutely terrified but i have all the support from family and the dads family, who are just amazing!

5 weeks pregnant and scared of miscarriage!!!
I am also 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant, and terrified. I have had 2 miscarriages and this just seemd so scary. This baby is a long awaited blessin.
I also have no systems, just a bit more tired then usual and a few headache's. I am scheduled for an ultrasound in a week and am absolutly terrified that I will not hear a heart beat. I know I have plently of support which is helping and my husband is amazing, he is trying to keep me positive.
Good luck to all that have the same fears! Lets stay positive girls and we will all get through this.

4 weeks pregnant and very worried
I have 5 misscarriages and just found out i am pregnant again.....................i have back cramping and i am so scared it could be any early sign although with my first baby i remember getting cramps in my lower back. dreading the next 8 weeks.............so drained from worrying about it, just want to go to bed so i dont have to think about it...

Im 5 week pregnant too and feel a little better after reading that you get niggles too. I have been so worried as this will be my first baby. I am also very paranoid. and i also have a pot belly.

 this is not my first baby, nor my thrid....
This is my seventh pregnancy, yes 7th...  I am 7 weeks four days an for the past four weeks now I have had tummy pains like cramps an period pains also like wind, my top part of my belly is quiet puffed up an I have been having like shock pains or the feeling of shocks on the inside of my vagina.
I had a ultasound at 6 weeks four days the baby is a live an has a beating heart but there is bleeding in an around the womb I have never had a pregnancy like this before and am some what worried, I feel tired not long after waking an am in bed by 7pm most nights because Im feeling so tired.

Hi, I am gettin exactly the same as u really bad period pains i had sickness but i wasnt actually sick last week, my boobs r really really sore, but i think the more u worry the more u do damage i am also very worried but tryin to put it to the bk of my mind! i am about 5ft 5 and very petite i have noticed i have alil belly on me hehe but i think u bloat, dont worry im sure everything will fine xxx

i found out i was pregnant just over 2 weeks ago, and it was a shock as i cant have another baby at the moment, i already have a 2yr old boy and i was getting very stressed aabout everything, a few days later i started bleeding which i was so worried about, i knew this could just be spotting which it seemed to be, but it carried on longer, it went on for 10 days then i got an emergency scan at the hospital, wh
ich i had today, they see the sack but say its too early to say more, so i have to have another scan in 2 weeks when they will hopefully see the babys heart beat. i have been worrying soooo much and i think all my worry and stress may have caused this, so it really is best not to worry or get stressed about anything, i have abother 2 week wait now to see if my baby is ok, and i have to try not to stress myself out during this time. im scared now as i really want this baby now.

hi mumtobe, i completly understand how you feel! i have had 2 miscarriges, and an eptopic pregnancy! after my eptopic they tolled me both of my fellopian tubes where blocked and that i would be unable to conceive without the help of IVF treatment. i have just found out i am 5 weeks pregnant and i am completly over the moon, but i keep getting period pain, pains in my back and cant keep myself from visiting the toilet every 5mins to see if iv started bleeding, i feel like i should be aloud to be excited but the thought of losing anouther baby is stopping me! to answer your question aswell i have not started to show a belly yet xx

5 weeks also
I am also 5 weeks pregnant & had a scan yesterday as I had pains in my right side. They showed me the sac but there was no heartbeat, apparantly you cannot detect one that early, is this correct?? I am beginning to worry so much. Also I am loosing brownish blood & they say that this is called Bedding in.... This is my first & I do not have a clue about what is going on. HELP!!!!!

Just wanted to reply I feel exactly the same, wish I hadn't found out so early that I was pregnant then maybe I wouldn't worry so much! Im just at day 35 today so still along way to go, everyone being really supportive esp my husband but he does think Im being slightly paranoid so Im glad Im not the only one getting worried bout miscarriage. I think half the time the little pains we feel normally we wouldn't even notice if we didn't know about the baby. Ive not got a belly yet but am definitely more bloated than usual. Take care, try not worry and be happy!

hi girls, I had an eptopic in 2006 and a miscarriage 2007 this is my third pregnancy and i am terrifed of loosing this baby. I am experincing sore boobs and slight back ache is any one else

hi i sorry to trouble you but the doctors are questioning eptopic with me due to sharp shooting pains i getting. we thought i was 6 weeks but i dont think i am. i think i earlier. can you help me?

hi i had an eptopic pregnancy about 6months ago, it started of with shooting pains right inside my belly, then moved to my sides and eventualy got so bad that i couldnt move i had to go staraight into hopital for an opportation! iv just round out im pregnant again and iv been for an early scan (5 weeks pregnant) they can see a sack and a yolk in my womb which means im not having an eptopic, but they cannot hear a heartbeat, they have tolled me this is completly normal and rebooked me in for a scan in 10-14 days time so they can see if my baby is growing, hope that helped hun xx
