Currently having a miscarriage

Just thought id put a little note on here just to get it off my chest....

My little bean would have been 9 weeks now and i went for a scan on Thurs to be told it must have died around 6 weeks as the fetal sack was only that old. That night i passed quite a bit of material and i am bleeding heavy now.
They want to scan again on Thurs but i dont want to go again....dont want a D&C would rather do it naturally thanks very much!! (obviously unless there are complications)

so sad

Take care everyone,

Lou xxx

Dont know what happens now, can someone tell me?

I only found out last Friday that I was pregnant. I was extremely shocked as I am 44 and have a 22 & 19 year old. This morning, Saturday,my scan showed that the fetus had no heat beat. Thursday night I had bad cramps, they were gone the next morning. At the moment I have mild uncomfortable cramps and some abdominal discomfort but have had no bleeding. Can this still happen and if not, what happens next? I feel sick, and sad and guilty and angry and I hope and pray that my 22 yr old daughter never has to experience this.

Hi sharon

I hope this message reaches you in time to help you feel some comfort.

I had a m/c in Feb this year at 5.5 weeks. Re the cramps you are describing what happened to me when I started to miscarry. I had cramps on the Saturday then a light discharge/bleed on Sunday night and then nothing until the Wednesday/Thursday when it really started happening. As Vic says though you may need a D&C. If you aren't sure of what's happening next you should definately get in touch with your healthcare worker/GP.

I went back to mine so many times because I just didn't know what was happening, it was a horrible time. I really feel for you I totally understand how distressing it is. I hope that six days on you are feeling slightly improved and at least know what is happening with you.

Sending you peace and love, S x
