Heavy periods - is this normal?

Hi,

I had a Medically induced miscarriage on 7th September 2009. Since then I bled medium to light for approx. 2 and a half weeks. Then, Saturday 26 September what seemed to be like a period started. It was extremely heavy but eased up over the course of the week. Just when I thought it was on its way out, on Saturday 3rd October it started up extremely heavy again like another period all over again and has continued since. It does seem to be slightly less today. Is this normal???? I never fully stopped bleeding from the miscarriage so am totally confused whether this is my period. I know from my day in hospital that everything passed and I was never sent for any follow up scans or appointments.

Sorry this is so long but so confused. Just want to get on with my life and think about trying again.

well after my first mc my periods were really messed up i bled for about 6 weeks and then i never had a period for about 4 months, with my 2nd i bled for 4 weeks and my periods were abit messed up but then i got pregnant 2 n half months later so i guess they never got to go back to normal then i had my 3rd mc n i bled for about a week n half then my periods were fine so it all depends hunny, i would ring your epu and ask for a scan just to make shore because i bled really heavy then they did a scan and said they were still some remains still inside. hope i can helpnxxx
