you sound a lot like my friend who had an abortion when she was 16, and her boyfriend was facing a court case (he ended up getting 2.5 years minimum)

I'm not suprised that you feel love for that child - I think it's a natural reaction. As women we are built to feel like that.

At the time I told my friend honestly - you are young, and you would struggle VERY hard to bring up a child. She did what was right for her and it sounds like you did what was right for you too.

And guess what? She did get pregnant again, and she did have an abortion. Although she was upset, nothing had changed and she was no better equipped to be a mother than she had been before.

I think you are extremely brave to have made the decision that you have, and I'm sorry that you feel lonely. 7 months may seem like a life time now, but you may well get through it - speak to some friends or family members who you can trust and they will help you get through it.

The love that you feel for your child will make you an amazing mother one day. You were extremely honest to say that you would do it again - I think that again, this will make you a wonderful parent when the time is right. But as you have shown, the time was not right for you.

I hope you get through the next 7 months and beyond. I hope you know if you did the right thing for you.

xx

heya. im 15 years old and in september i had an abortion. i think of my would-be child as a girl and i would have called her ruby. Theres not a day that goes by that i dont think about what i did. But the strange thing is that even if i were to become pregnant again, i would still make the same descision. i feel so guilty and in a weird way i love that child. It would have been born on april 11th. My boyfriend is currently srving a 7 month custodial sentance and i have never felt so lonely. I dont really no why im writing this but it feels so much better to express how i feel.
