Im thirty and never been pregnant until now. I am nearly six weeks. I have a wonderful supportive partner I have been with for nine months. Even though I want children eventually I dont feel we are ready for them yet. The only thing stopping me getting an abortion right now is the thought of not being able to conccieve in a few years due to my age. I think then I would really reget it. My partner and i love boating and camping and are really enjoying our relationship. We are fully committed and financially secure. Am I just being selfish and will I regret my decision?

I know its been afew weeks since your post, so i don't know if you have decided on anything yet. I don't think you ae being selfish, just wanting to make the right decision for yourself and your baby. You said you enjoy boating, and camping, well i have three kids, and we go camping every year,and the kids love it. probably more than me!! i had an abortion, and personally speaking it was so hard, i'd never recommend anyone to do it, but its not to say you shouldn't. i was only 18 at the time, and it was more parental preasure than anything. its your baby, and your body,but just be sure you are strong enough for the aftermath of either decision. good luck

I had a baby son 11 years ago who i've bought up by myself. Im almost 34 now and am 14 weeks pregnant & over the moon. In between that though, 9 years ago, i had a termination. It was the best decision for me at the time.
It's a hard one! Like you say, if you have a termination and then find out you cant conceive in a few years, how would that make you feel?....but then again....if you dont feel the time's right ( i assume it wasnt planned?! ) and aren't sure whether or not you really want the baby, then should you really be bringing a baby into this world?!
