When i found out i was pregnant again i had a mixture of feeling but the most prominant one was dread. I have a 5 month old son and if the pregnancy had continued both my sons first birthday and the Due date would have been within one week so i decided i would not be able to cope with a new born and a baby who would be just getting on his feet. I also had a horrific birth so i think deep down i was frightend of going through it again so soon.

went to Dr who sent me to my local hospital where i had a scan ect, i was told i would have a medical termination then was sent home. A week later i went into hospital again (friday morning) to take a tablet which blocks the pregnancy hormones and makes the body think there has been a miscarriage. I was 6 weeks. I went home. While i was home i got period cramps then a few hours before i was due to go back to hospital i passed soem huge clots and bled a little.

then went into hospital over night on saturday as i didnt want to leave my 5 month old son for a day. I went in at 9pm and had 4 tablets inserted within 40 min i was alowed to get up and go to the loo, i passed some large clots but nothing else. Every time i went i had to use a bedpan. within and hour and a half i went to the loo again and passed the pregnancy. I new that id passed it becuse it felt so differant to everything else. I didnt look and and just quickly coverd it with a paper hand towel then a nurse came to collect in and soon after she came to confirm that it had come away compleate and that it was over. I would tell anyone who is going to have this procedure done not to look at anthing which is passed as it isnt nice. I didnt have any pain untill through the night after it was passed. I bled heavily afterwards and there was discussion of giving me a blood transfusion but by 5am in the morning the bleeding had settled. Its now just like a very haeavy period with period cramps. It should ease off gradually and stop in no longer than a month.

that is my experiance. Me and my partner do want more chidren so will be trying again next year. i dont regret my decision but will never ever do it again!
