Getting pregnant on implanon

hi iam on my second implant having had no ill effects with the first. however,ltly have felt movement and boobs have got bigger too. been tired and getting big belly has anyone fell preg while still got it in. iam forty and already have six.its been five years since my last child. iam too embarrassed to go to the doc in case they think iam mad and isnt it spose to b 99.9% effective so i feel dumb even mentioning it but the movements are not stopping and i dont know what to do.help anyone who has been thru this please reply. i feel like i am going crazy.

Did they tell you that it takes 6 months approx to settle down ? These symptoms are normal I didn't stop having periods till 7 months in! Had mine in for the whole 3 years and loved it !

I only have 4 months left of my implanon and I will be getting a new one in september. I have been reading everyones concerns and I am really shocked at how scary you all seem to be finding it. I have to admit this implant was the best thing that has ever happened to me but I have had all the symptoms you are all describing. I have gained a little weight, I have been bloated, had cravings and been moody, everything. I had the implant put in when I was 18 and before that I was on the 3 month injection and before that the pill. I have never really had normal periods. I have probably had about 10 since I started at 15 years old and only 3 since being on my period so the am i pregnant worries have always been a problem for me. I just wanted to say the every symptom that you have all described is completely normal. Someone said about having like baby like movements in your tummy but I have found that since my implant I have occasionally had Irritable bowel syndrome, (very rarely) and when it first happened I went straight to the shop and got a pregnancy test. But IBS can give you an almost like vibration in the bottom of your tummy that you might think is a baby moving. But if your can't see your pregnant, bigger belly wise, then its very unlikely you will feel a baby anyway. Do not forget cravings, moodiness, discharge, strange smells, dark bleed are all symptoms that you feel during any hormone change not just when you are pregnant. The first three months are the hardest. Just stick with it and if you are worried take a pregnancy test, if its negative and you are still worried, take another and if thats negative its most likely that you are not pregnant but if you are still worried then go to the doctors. Anyone out there who is worried that they are pregnant, I promise you your parents or partner whoever will be more shocked if they notice your growing stomach then if you just tell them and ask for help. Hiding does not help you are anyone else. If you are unsure about some of your side effects like consistent bleeding then just talk to your doctor. they will tell you anything you need to know. But since I have got mine 5 of my friends have also got it. We all love it sooooo much. Just be strong and talk to people. Do not panic. Okay So Im 15 And Is On The Implanon..I Been On For About A Year..But For The Last Couple Of Weeks I Have Had Just About Every Pregnancy Symptom. Me And My Boyfriend Has Had Unprotected Alot..I Have Tooken 3 Pregnancy Test And They All Said Negative. So What To Do Now..Cause I Havent Even Told My Mama I Might Be Pregnant. ??

Where u pregnant? This is my second time on implano and I haven't even had it a month and ive had a lot of unprotected sex on my ovulation day to. But when I took a test it was negative so should I just wait it out or get an ultrasound?
Or where you not pregnant? I started spotting and its a dark brown like if I was pregnant again I have a 3 year old so I know how it feels

I need answers . please help .

I've been on implanon for a little bit over a year now. I just recently left home for school and I started spotting which lasted a week, i've been getting tired (sleeping all day long) and my appetite has changed drastically. First I thought it was just a change in location but then I started noticing my stomach began to get bigger, strech marks started coming, my stomach is harder than ever (I can't sleep on it at all which is difficult mainly because i'm a "stomach" sleeper), I can barely get comfortable in a chair, and i've been feeling sick. I've taken pregnancy test but they all came back negative, should I just go far an ultrasound?

hi, ive had the implanon in since feb 2011. the first month i had a period for 3 weeks then at the start and end of every month though last month i only got it at the start.
My boobs have grown so much and are really sensitive and sore.
im tired a lot.
i feel bloated
i have cravings
and back pain if i stand up for more than half an hour or more.
i haven't had my period in a month. i went to the doc and had a pregnancy test it came up negative. im not sure whats going on.

hey i have the same prob... well sordove i had my implanon in since sept.. aweek before my 6wks u know after u have a bby well it's my first time i dont have pain in my arm the main thing that concerns me is that after i got it put in about 2 1/2 weeks later i got my period and it lasted about 2 weeks but now we're in nov.. and i havent had it again and i sometimes get these strong and painfully cramps out of the blues but no period!!! and i feel bloated tooo i feel like i've gained weight like my clothes dont fit and i'm eating alittle bit more than what im use too... i need to do a test but i doubt im prego.. because ive only have it for about 2 mths awkwerd...

One of the signs my doctor told me was that your menstrual cycle could completely disappear while on the implant so maybe thats what happened to you (it happened to me) .

Concerned about being on implaon and getting pregnant

Hi I've been Implanon since Aug 16th, I know its still too soon to tell but being that im new to it could it be possible that I am or could get pregnant. I also had a surgery for a tumor in my breast a week and half ago, Im wondering if any of they meds that were given plus anesthia they gave conflicted with the birth control. When i went to get on the birth control I was on my cycle and didn't post pone being that I have two daughters a yr apart one born May 28 of 2010 and the other June 10 2011. I have not been eating as much -which I cant tell im not my self I also started bleed after intercourse after I had surgery -it was a couple days after and I have been bleeding, it is not heavy but its vary dark and almost looks like mud, im actually not sure what it is cause it could be bright and vsry spotty. Also the past few days as I mentioned I havent been wanting to eat I sjust recently started feeling sick and none of the less it still stings and itches alot where they placed it in my arm and I have a scared almost looks like a strech mark. Any advice would be appreciative cause I think Doctors just want to tell you what you want to here verses actually gone through the actual experience. Thanks

Pregnant on implant??

Hi, i have been experiencing the same over the last few weeks, i have had the implant since february 09 and only recently have problems started. Off food and feeling very sick all the time, have gone up a cup size, feeling small flutterings, have a small bump & getting period cramps. I have tried a test which came back negative & feel the same as everyone else that the doc will just think im being silly. I had my appendix out at the end of may & then 3 courses of anti biotics over several weeks. Would it be possible for them to have affected the implant or could it just be side effects??

I have took 2 tets but they show negative im sure that i am as i have been pregnant in the past also no periods and feel as they are comeing but never any sign of them.I just want to find out. Do you think if i was pregnant that it would show on test by now .Please write back to me .anything helps.O and i had periods non stop for months and now they have just stopped i think i am god nose. x

I'm 18 and ive been on Implanon for almost the full three years, September will make it the end of the three years. I haven't had my period the whole time nor any other problems until now. Ive been very stressed and It was two weeks ago when I last had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and this week I have been having some problems that concern me to think i'm pregnant. I very tired and often need to sit, pee every 10 min, certain tastes and smells that usually don't bother me but now do such as garlic make me want to throw up , im nauseous all the time and late night will wake up to throw up also getting horrible cramps. tonight I took two digital test and got negative soo idk whats wrong..

hey,
i have been having very simular probs with the implant i have only been on it for about 4 months but the last 2 weeks been having a lot of symptoms which point to pregnancy espeacially the late night vomtting which wen i was pregnant with my 2 i have now i dd that almost everynight with both of them. did you see your doctor or find you were pregnant im am very worried and didnt want to go to my doctor either because they make you feel silly wen you go in thinking you might be prgnant.
