My experience on implanon
If you feel pregnant you should go to the grocery and buy you a regular pregnancy test, it is the same test a doctors office will give you. I work in a hospital lab and trust me it is the same. If it is positive you have you answer and you will be ready and able to take your doctor on! lol and the implanon statistic was in a group of 30 women I think. That means for every 30 women 1 gets pregnant. It is def. worth taking the prego test for

Nervous: am i pregnant?
Ok so i have a 15 month old and i've been on implanon for 2 yrs. i shud have had my period by now and i'm rly hoping that i'm not pregnant again b/c it's too soon for me. i rly can't handle it. i'm a student and i work part time and am a single parent. my ex and i still see a lot of each other and in fact if i am pregnant he wud b the father but i kno he wants to get an abortion and i'm kinda mixed up as to wat i want to do if i am. i was jus hoping that sumone cud help me i guess. i've been gettin queasy and i'm always hungry normally so i can't tell if there's a difference, but my arm that has the implanon has been hurting and i've been wondering if it's damaged or hurt but there are no signs to indicate that. idk i guess i jus needed sumone to tlk to or help me figure out wut to do i guess. ugh it's so frustrating ya kno.

Implanon, not as effective as they say
hi hun, this has happened to me also. I am at very high risk of miscarridge. Go to the drs, get your pregnacy confirmed then get it out!

I am also on the implanon. I have been feeling very sick lately and not completely positive but think I am pregnant.
Can I ask what symptoms you had while on the implanon when you were pregnant?

The implanon
ok so its not just me that fears pregnancy even if using birth control....i had my son 27 months ago and even then it was strange cause i was using the pill and always took it but feel pregnant and my gp said that i might of forgot to take it (duh cause i wanted a kid really!!! dumb nutters) so a year ago i had the implanon put in but was only happy for the first 6 months the last six months have been a nightmare strng headaches, sore breasts a lot of weight gain depressed moody and my periods gosh are all over he place some months i have it normal the next one will bleed during the da and not during the night other months the exact opposite then i have this odd smelling sidcharge brown and with like threds or fleshy things in it and i had them before well after giving birth for about 3 months but after that it stopped
i have tried iud, the injection and yasmin pill oh and the dyanette pill as well to try and make my life more comfortable but it didnt work hence the implanon
lately i feel bloated big as in very fat my belly looks like i am 6 months preg and my headaches get worse
i do vomit (sorry )once in a while late evening
i am going to try and have it removed soon and go back on the pill and if they say no i will cut it out even if that means i will make a trip to A&E lol
so if anyone can help before i have too see the gp would be really great

i got the implanon when i was 16 years old. im turning 19 in about 5 months. So my 3 years is almost up. my boyfriend and i DO have unprotected sex, and he finishes in me..every single time. i've never worried about getting pregnant before. ive always heard it 99.9% you know?
but..
Today is Friday, and last Sunday i've noticed my breasts started to hurt. And ever since last Sunday..they are hurting so bad. to the point where i want to cry! it's constant and painful! it hurts to wear a bra ( i have to, im a size D) and could this possibly be a sign of me being pregnant??
and if so, should i take a test? How long should i wait until i should take a test? I haven't had a period in over a year now. I'm really worried

Implanon pregnancy
Hi I dont think you are going mad! I have had the implant in since I was 16....over 2 years ago. And since just after I had the implant in for 2 years I have been pregnant and miscarried twice. I feel that it seems to be less effective after the first two years. It worked perfect for 2 years and now appears to be ineffective. I have been told I am very fertile. But also what you need to worry about is that the hormone the implanon produces could damage or kill the possible unborn child you may have. I have miscarried before i even knew i was pregnant. Ive been pregnant on the pill and now on this ......
its very possible to be pregnant i just found out that i am  but the bad part is im now a single mom of soon to be two i dont know if i can handle it im only 18

have you had the implant removed now? as i would suggest that is the main thing to do to ensure the hormones are not affecting your unborn child.
You can be a single mom of two at 18 My mum donte it brilliantly and you know alot of people say its easier than bringing them up with a man

Help!
well i went on the implanon on the 27/03/09 they put it in on the last day of my period wasn't told about not having unproteced sex for 2 weeks after so i dont know weather that appiled as to when i had it insetered but i havent had a period at all at that is coming up for 13 weeks but roughly 4 weeks ago i had a light brown dishage for 2 days not even enough to fill a panyt liner i went to the doctors about 8 weeks ago because i had the feeling that i was pregeant they got me to do a urine test and it came back negative!
i was wondering if the implant effected the results and could make it show as a negative when it is positive ?
my lower belly is growing which i makeing me feel even more certain that i am pregant the only other syptoms i have is more saliver production wich can make me feel sick and i go light headed when i stand up and my breasts seem to be changeing in shape and colour and also i have felt a few weird movements! ( sort of like gas but diffrent)
i dont know weather to go back to the doctors and ask for a blood pregnacy test and a sonogram as i am really conviced that i am
sorry about the long read but if anybody could help i would be really grateful

i have the same thing happening to me all the time. every three months my belly swells in size and it looks like im 6 months pregnant. this is the implant tricking your body into thinking that you are so that your ovaries don't release any more eggs.
if you are still concerned i would go to the doctor to put your mind at ease. just explain to ur dr that you feel like you are pregnant and explain the symptoms and they will give you advice. you have only had the implant in for 3 month it takes upto six month for you body to adjust to the change in hormones.

I had unprotected sex and we both dont want to admit it..
but i think we stopped a little too late.. because you can
"come" more than once..right? So that was a couple days
ago and i'm just worried. can we swap information, if you know any?
I know a couple days isnt much at all, but id like to be
prepared just in case.
I just have a "gut feeling".. and i'm too scared to tell my friends, parents,
and even my boyfriend. i cant stop thinking about it. even dreams! but i
read on this website at home tests arent working BECAUSE of the implanon..
Any advice yet???

This implanon seems scetchy to me
This Implanon has listed in the side effects abnormal bleeding, breast tenderness, longer period or no period. It can also cause problems with conceiving later in life. All of the things you have mentioned are part of the side effect of the drug. If I were you I RUN to my doctor and get that thing ripped out of me. I have not heard much about his here in the US, but I would not want to continue using a drug that I have done minimal research on that can cause so many problems.

okay,
so here's my story...I found out I was pregnant Jan 2, 09 had a miscarriage followed by a DNC on Feb 20 09. I was started on the implanon 2/25/09(eventhough it was unclear if I had had a period yet, due to the post dnc bleeding). At any rate, I did not experience a period AT ALL...there was only like a day or two of light spotting. I had unprotected sex shortly, like 3 or 4 days after the insertion. See as of recently (2 wks at the most) I've been spotting. It got so bad I was going through like a 6 tampons during my work day...it wasn't normal, not like the bleeding from the miscarriage but not like my period either. As of recntly, the color has gone from a bright red, to dark red(almost brown) to light almost pink...sorry to be so graffic. I haven't been feeling normal at all. Extremely tired, moodier than usual, very emotional and sensations/mild pain in my abdomen. But to top if off this morning i woke up to a soaked shirt...my right breast was leaking. I'm so worried, i've been ready the many comments and trying to do my own research but at the end of the day i've still gone from a size 6-9, my thighs are larger, my breast are tender and i have all the symptoms...including the leakage. I mad an appointment @ the free clinic in my area for tomorrow...too embarrashed to go to my obgyn. i would love to be preg, but i'v become extremely worried(since the initial symptons started) that if i am i could be doing harm to the baby. 3 miscarriages, i pray i haven't had another.

Im scared
Hi i just had my first baby on 3/30/09 and the next day I got implanon.
I've heard that you arent supposed to get within 3 weeks of having a baby but the nurses did it right there while i was recovering from a c-section. well my husband and I slipped up and had sex 2 weeks later and I havent had a period. I'm not breastfeeding (i know when you do it can make you not have periods). I've started having a sour stomach, not as timely as morning sickness but not right. I've also started having massive headaches and wanting to sleep all the time, having weird dreams like when i was recently pregnant and my breast milk has still not dried up with no stimuation. this is the first time i've been on the implanon and I'm VERY nervous because I got pregnant with my son two weeks after I got my first Depo shot. I think we are all really nervous....and I think we have good reasons to be. I don't think this sh*t works. They tell you that its 99.9% effective so that when you get pregnant you can't sue because they can put you in that .1%...lovely

Getting pregnant on implanon
hi i have had 2 inplants but when i had my second about 5 months later found out i was pregnant.now i don't know if i caught while they were putting it in or while i was on it.i seen my doc and they asured me that they spoke to the manufacturers and it will not harm the baby,i do have the proof as my son is now 3yrs old and no problems what so ever.my advice to you would be to go and get a home test if thats negative then the doc will do one and they can do a blood test to see if your pregnant .if after all those and they come out neg then i would have the implanon removed then have the tests agian 2 weeks or more after.

hello. I am 21 and i had a baby 9 months ago. About a month after i had him, i got the implanon. My periods have been very consistant. It has come on the 13th of every month. Now i am a week late. I have been getting these aful headaches and my stomach has been hurting. I feel sick all of the time. I had a dream 2 weeks ago that i thought i had the flu and when i went to the doctor they said i was pregnant and in my dream i could feel the baby moving. Then all of a sudden a week later my period never came!
I took a home pregnancy test and it was negative but my period still hasn't come and i still feel sick to my stomach.
What should i do?

hello just wanted to reply..i am on my second impant and its not due out till oct 2010 i have had my periods monthly fine but havent had one this month and im over 10days late..been feeling really unwell bad stomachs, headaches been feeling really tired all the time and wanting to go to sleep throught the day, i had some spotting but nothing like a period!!
I did a pregnancy test and the same it came up negative.. am going to leave it till the end of the month and then go see my doctor to get checked as dont want to leave it and then be months on and find out
