Is it ok to use the cheap tests? Or do they not work as effective?
Thanks x

I confirmed my pregnancy with a total of 4 tests! 2 were Clearblue digital and the other two were cheaper ones from Boots. All 4 were positive - yikes! I have read that your more likely to get a negative that could later become postive rather than the other way round. Obviously depending on how early you are testing. Hope this helps - I am new to all this pregnancy business! V x

I used the cheapest of the cheap (£4.89 for 10 from babymad.com) and couldn't fault them, got my BFP 4 days before AF was due and they all came up positive, carried on testing for days after just to be sure! My lines were fairly faint to start with but got progressively darker as the days went on, only problem with them can be if your HCG level is low at the start and the line is too faint for you to be sure. If that's the case it can be worth getting a clearblue digi and testing a bit later, after AF was due, just to see the word 'pregnant' come up so there's no doubt in your mind. Up to you (and your bank balance!) in the end but if you're a frequent tester like I was it can get pretty expensive if you go for the dearer tests all the time. All the best hun,
love, Clare 21+3 xxx
