Mixed signs/signals, late period + neg test.... ?????

My story is a bit hard to explain, basically as of the 9th April I came off the pill and had a very short, light period every 2 weeks, how annoying! Then somewhere between the 4th and 10th may I had my last period, I know this because I had a doctors appointment on the 11th and I told him I'd 'just' finished. The week after that I had unprotected sex 3 times. The following 2 weeks after I did I experienced a slight brown tinge in my discharge (sorry for too much info!) for 1 day, am now spotty, have back ache, feel nauseous every so often, headaches but no cramping or anything.

As I was so used to being on the pill for so long, and as I've been so busy lately I realized that my period should have come (at the latest) by the 4th June, which makes me over 1 week late. Today (the 8th day of waiting) I experienced some pulling/cramping down the left side of my abdomen briefly, it has stopped now.


I took a HPT wednesday (7 days late) and it showed a very faint positive line, but I then realized that the test had expired so was no use, so I rushed to the shop and brought a 2 pack, did 1 straight away and got a BFN, I'm waiting to do the other 1 but am unsure of how long to leave it?

Is this all to do with me coming off the pill, or is it something else?

The last period I had was around the end of June. I was suppose to start my period the 29th of July. In June I started my period a week early, but I only spotted. I spotted for 16 days not enough for a pad or tampon. It is now August 25th and I am 28 days late. I have taken three Pregnantcy tests and all of them negative. The only doctors apointment I can get isn't til sept. 4th. When I bled for 16 days I stopped my pill to try and start it after my next period, but no period yet and it has been 56 days since my last period. I have been experiencing occasinal stomach cramps, lots of nausea, I have been very tired every day, and very moody. I have also been getting a little dizzy at times. I'm so nervous and frustated that I don't know. I have also been very emotional.

Try not to worry.

I had the same problem as you a few years ago. I would take another test in a couple of weeks. If the test is negative and you have not seen a period then I would go to your GP. Hope this helps.

I've just been through similar. Came off pill in Jan this year, had regular periods though. Missed Mays so did a test when i was 1 week late, go faint + but next day got -! continued to get - for next 3 wks went to drs had blood ests etc all came back clear. got June's period Fri on time! looks like i just missed one. Try not to fret, hard i know but i teuley believe what will be will be.
Look up chemical pregnancys and blighted ovum, they can explain getting + results then -. Not very nice but it gives you answers.
