False positive or false negative?????

Hi I am borrowing my friends log on and I just wanted some advise on false positives! I have posted on TTC & expecting aswell just to get some much needed help.

I have taken 3 tests and 2 have had a faint line and one was neg!!! I do have a n appointment with the Doc to do a blood test but I just wanted some advise before going.

Is there such thing as a false positive????? or have I had a false negative??

Hi there,
Most wee tests tell you not to read the results after 10 minutes as they can give false positives after that time. I would take it as negative but confirm with doctor. I have 2 boys and done loads of pregnancy tests over the years and have found not to trust the results after 10 minutes as sometimes faint lines have appeared. If you are quite late then you would have a very clear line not a faint one.
