Advice

As i worked full time i could not get the sure start grant as i was not on income support. My partner and i joint income at the moment is £985 a month, thats my 4 weeks maternity pay and my partners money from his job. He only works part time as citizins advice told him he needed to get a better job so doing a foundation course at college!

Citizans advice said we will get this grant as our family tax be of the higher element. However family tax have lost our forms. My baby is 3 months tomorrow so cant claim now. We are short of money as we pay all our money on rent(£530) council tax(£98) bills/loan repayment, pertol for car, ect(£300) So got no money for food, tax credit will get 4 weeks to get sorted as got to refill in forms again.

I get 69.70 child benefit but that goes on milk, nappies ect for baby. Any advice on how i can get money for food, friends and family are refusing to help.

I have not eaten for 3 days! my partner gets a free meal at his job! any advice.

god you're in a state. i think you should deal with your outgoings first. could you not contact your creditors and ask if you can pay less each month. contact the council to see if you're entitled to housing benefit, with such a high rent you should be. do you need to spend so much on petrol?

i can appriciate your partners trying to make a future for you and your baby but could he not put it of for a few months till you get everything sorted and you're back on your feet. another wage would make the world of difference to you.

get your forms for ctc and wtc filled in as soon as. i found they dont take that long to get things settled and you'll get it backdated.

that does not help you in the short term. i've been that skint in the past i had to pawn my grandmothers jewellery to eat. thankfully things are better for me now but i was desparate for a time. could your partner not bring you a 'doggy bag' from his work?

things will get better for you though it doesnt seem like it now.

one last point and i dont mean to sound nasty but is food not better than a telephone/internet line? tc and please reply so i know things will be better x
