Dealing with depression?

Hi I am Jennifer. It seems odd that I am just now going through the depression.Well, I think I have actually been going through it since my 16 month old daughter was born.I have a full time job and the houst to take care of. I just got out of high school two years ago.I cant seem to deal.I get stressed and irritated so easy.It is always at little thing and I cant sem to make myself quit.I know it is hurting my family.I just have no clue.My docter has put me on so many different anti-deppressants to help me and thay just seem to make it worse.I cry constntly there are days when I have to take my daughter to the sitters because I cant deal with it.I have even felt like running away and not ever coming back not ever talking to anyone again.I know that is not the answer but it fells like all I can do.I dont want to hurt my family anymore emotionly.I just ant seem to deal...

It is a little diffucult...

It is a little more diffucult than just getting someone to watch my little girl.My fiance also has a little boy he is 4.He gets him every weekend. It is even harder to get his mom to kep him on the weekends or to even get someone to watch him for us.That is where we have the most trouble.I try not to have the weekends off so I do not have to deal....

Post natal depression is not uncommon

Sounds like you are sliping under a bit. You need a better package, is there a health visitor or someone you can book a chat with.

In the UK we have a charity called Mind who are really good with your sort of problem...hay you are on the net, maybe there's some info you can look up ...might tell you what to say to your doctor? one in 3 people suffer at some time in their lives , dont be ashamed.

Sounds to me like you need a break. Could he cope for a weekend while you go away with a girlfriend? To the sea for a good old shout into the wind and to throw some stones?

Don't feel guilty about this , you have a sitter and you work full time, so you are doing more than 2 jobs..oooh yes, 100% work 80% baby 50% house.actually probably 100%..so some "me" time is essential!!!

Do it for your family if you feel(wrongly) you don't deserve it for yourself.

Could a neighbour look in on him over a weekend? He must see you are suffering and a break would do you good. Don't go away together with the baby it will be hell . Can grandparents take her for a weekend..you need a chance to miss her. Maybe book a hotel room for 1 night just to start. If you take him with you... make sure you don't make another baby..just yet!)

Remember...this too will pass
