"Am i a bad person for naming them this?"

Hi! My name's Corinne Alexander, and last year, my senior year in high school, I gave birth to twin boys. the names me and my star football player boyfriend, (now husband, his name is John Curtis Alexander.), gave the boys were very important to us.

A few months before the twins were born, four of John Curtis's friends were hit by drunk drivers, and killed instantly. we named the boys after them.

the boys' names are:

Parker Johnathan Alexander and Hunter Pierce Alexander.

lately I've been given some grief over their names, they've been called "prep-names", which really bothers be because John Curtis and I are FAR from preppy anymore. we were once, but now were just a family trying to get daddy through collage. (Thank god small schools will pay the way for good football players!.)

What do you think of the names I gave my children? all opinions are welcome, I'm sort of numb to people dissing them now.

~Cori

I think that these names are great, and you shouldn't let other people worry you about them. I think that was very sweet that you did that.
"Great names"

Those names actuallly flow together and the first names hunter and parker, very cute for twins. I think its perfect.

Hi Cori,Im really shocked people could say any thing nasty about ur childrens names i think its a lovley idea and u you have kept ur husbands friends memories alive im also sure the families of ur husbands friends are very happy and honered at ur sensitivity to think of this.Apart from the reasons why you called ur children these names i think they are nice and sophisticated rather than preppy!
"Thanks!"

I loved the names when John Curtis suggested we name the boys that. Parker and Hunter are two of the sweetest little boys, and it pains me when people say things about their names like, "Do they ever come to the wrong name? Hunter and Parker are so close!"

I for one don't think their close at all. if people can name little girls Chelsea and Kelsea, Hunter and Parker are fine!

I think that there is nothing wrong with the names. Some people just love being hurtful I think.
"Ignore them!"

Just ignore what people are saying. Naming them after you're husbands friends was a beatiful thing to do and they are lovely names. Maybe the people saying these things are simply jealous that you have a wonderful husband and 2 gorgeous little boys?
"How wonderful"

I love those names!!! That's really cute. Parker and Hunter. I don't think they're anything alike. Similar, but not enough to confuse them... That's wonderful. Really.
