its never easy-but its less complicated of course if you dont own property...my ex and i owned 2 and nearly 2 years later its still not resolved and i dont think it will ever come close to being a fair and equal division...even so i still would do it again-thats not to say everythings rosy-its not-but its so much better being out of what i was in that i can live with some of the fall out...as far as day to day living-for me its so much cheaper to live but now im paying maintainance to him because he sees me as still an easy meal ticket while he indulges his addictions...but hey i dont have to live with him!!! i dont know what the answer is for you but the world out here is ok...good luck xx

"Planning on separating"

My husband and I have been together for 8 years but for the last 18 months we've been going through hell, our relationship just isnt what it used to be. We're always at each other and never have a positive thing to say. I've told him that I want to separate, I'm not ready to make a decision on divorce or anything, I just want us to have some time apart. My sister has offered for me to stay with her but I can't see myself staying there for long, it wouldn't be fair on her and her family.
If anyone else has been through this, how have you managed to practically separate from your husband/partner?
