Need to know - when do u know when a kid has an actual attention deficit illness or is just a brat? is there a proper definition?

Your child needs to be refered to an Educational Phsycolgist Team andbe assessed.
My son has an autistic spectrum disorder with traits of ADHD.

As soon as he got to nursery the teachers there started to identify problems.

At school the symptoms of adhd become really noticable. From my experience the symptoms are:-

Unable to keep still very fidgety
Cant concentrate
Flits from task to task
Picky Eater
Aggressive behaviour to fellow pupils
very impulsive
Cries easily
really over emotional

As a parent you normaly know if it goes further than just being a brat !

it needs proper diagnosis by a doctor experienced in this sort of thing...its a very hard thing for not just those around them but the kids themselves to live with-they want to be able to fit in and so often they have so many anxieties as well - their lives are so stressful-if you suspect it - get help-it can make a difference
