Stop eating meat for the planet: a realistic idea?

Hey all, am curious to know what everyones' thoughts are on the news that the UN climate chief has suggested we all shun meat in order to save the planet... a realistic suggestion?

Nice idea

I think it's a lovely idea in principle but I don't think it's realistic at all. There are far too many people who'd rather have a slab of meat on their plate than an assortment of vegetables. Trying to convince the majority of people to stop eating meat seems like an impossible task.

Cutting down a bit

I'm sure that if we all cut down a bit it would be of help but I don't know about everybody becoming 100% vegetarian. I know a lot of people who would never give up meat.. unless they had to go out themselves and kill the animal, it might be a different matter then!
